Trudeau rejects exporting Canadian natural gas to Europe

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Canada will not be shipping natural gas to Europe to address the continent’s energy crisis.

“Canada is a major oil and gas producer in the world,” said Trudeau at a Monday press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

“But because of our commitment to fight climate change, we are working very, very hard to decarbonize and develop other sources of energy that we can rely on and we can share with the world.”

Trudeau said Russia’s invasion of Ukraine had two impacts on the world’s energy supply.

The first impact was it made it imperative for Canada’s allies to reduce their reliance on Russian oil and gas.

The second impact was the invasion confirmed the world needs to accelerate ending its dependency on oil and gas.

Trudeau said Canada will “do what we can to contribute to the global supply of energy by increasing our capacities in the short term.”

He said Canada will need to have more conversations to determine if it would be feasible to export natural gas.

“In the middle term and long term, Canada can and will position itself to be a key supplier of energy to the world in a net zero economy,” he said.

Energy rationing started in Germany on July 8 as its energy crisis affected its hot water taps.

Canada and Germany did sign a deal for Canada to export hydrogen to the European country by 2025.

Hamburg warned its residents warm water would available at certain times of the day in an emergency, but not at other times because of natural gas shortages.

Residents in German state Saxony were told by their housing association hot showers would be restricted to 4 a.m. to 8 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day.

How much coal is going to be burned to replace clean natural gas?

So ship it the United States first...whats the problem?

This notion that Trudeau can wave his hand and ban natgas exports to Europe is pure fascism.

There could be some payback in mind for Jr, when the senior leaders ignored him.

However, in practical terms, there insufficient pipeline capacity to get any real amount of oil and natural gas to the coast.

Jr thought cancelling the 5 pipelines that Harper approved was a real winner. We would have had three of those pipelines up and running by now, but we have none. The only way to get the oil or natural gas to the coast is by railway and our ability to ship by rail is nearly at capacity without adding oil or natural gas to it.

Canadians must have had a death with, picking this guy.

But then we did too, so don’t be offended by the truth.

Bidon cancelled Keystone, which would have been up and running by August 2021 if he had left it alone. All the existing pipelines out of Canada are at capacity.

To all of those Europeans who are kindred spirits with Trudeau when it comes to “climate change” and “green energy”, congratulations. Your continent is at the mercy of, and hostage to, your insanity. Let that sink in among the more level-headed in the European capitals.

Four cities, that he has absolutely insulated them from his policies, chose him.

The rest of Canada cast their ballots against him.

You mean that ones that Eastern Canadians sent the West that they use to make the argument why Alberta should be happy to give up 100% of its wealth for Eastern Canada?

Can they use them after 80 years?

Let us pray that Danielle wins the leadership. Hopefully, she can change the AB United CONservative Party into an ACTUAL conservative party, from the CON JOB it is under Oberführer JUSTIN Kenney and Just-Us Minister ShamWow! (Both deserving of jail time, IMO!)

Castreau is so out of control and ‘into’ himself (as are all sociopathic mysogynists), that, if she does become leader, and brings in the Sovereignty Act, he may just explode in public, like he did privately with so many women. Even his ‘spin controllers’ would not be able to ‘control the spin’ on such a thing.

Something needs to be done for sure, because I know what is coming. When all the wealth from the West has been taken, the Equalization act will suddenly end with the Federal government saying that they are ending it because the West wanted it to end.

Then the West gets abandoned to its poverty.

Europe insisted on forcing this outcome, so I don’t understand why you would have a problem with it. A few container ships of LNG isn’t going to solve their problem, or even make a dent.

As with the 13 colonies that formed the US of A, we too, (AB and SK) are COLONIES of the Laurentianists. Electing Charest as leader of the federal CONservative Party, is just going to reinforce the steal.

Federally, MAVERICK PARTY and (with MUCH reservation about what happened a few weeks ago) WIPA.

I deal with several Canadians.
People in the lumber/saw milling industry. A generally conservative salt of the earth industry. These people are salesmen in Ontario and BC working for major corporations.
They are all much more socialistic in general than the US.

None of them supported the truckers in Ottawa eventually. At first they kind of supported them. Either that or they did not let on how they felt. Towards the end, they all felt it was time for the government to step in a break it up.
