Democratic senator Catherine Cortez Masto leads her Republican opponent in the race for Nevada senate where voters say inflation and the economy is the most important issue, according to a new poll.

The new Suffolk University/Reno Gazette Journal poll revealed that Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev., holds a seven-point lead over her Trump-endorsed opponent Adam Laxalt, 45% to 38%. Twelve percent of likely voters remain undecided in the heated Senate race.

According to the poll, 34% of Nevadans believe inflation and the economy are the most important issues in the state, trumping abortion and climate change as the leading priority going into the midterms. A whopping 74% of likely voters gave the current economic climate a fair or poor rating.

Every race is a MUST WIN.

We need numbers to be as powerful as we need to be.

The sec I see a Blah Blah UNIVERSITY poll, I disregard it instantly.

Fox is GOPe. They want the Trump candidates to lose so they can blame it on Trump. There could be ten polls showing Laxalt winning and Fox would trumpet the one that doesn’t.

She will indeed get that 45% this poll shows. That is her floor. Laxalt’s floor is likely this 38%. He has more work to do than her, but there is obviously plenty of room for victory.

> We need numbers to be as powerful as we need to be.

Why ?

Until McCarthy and McConnell are replaced as leaders, nothing will get reversed and no consequential investigations will occur until we take the White House back.

An we have at least a half dozen Assistant Democrat Senators who are not up this cycle.

At best we will make Biden a lame duck and kill the January 6th hearings.

Because Kansas Democrats turned out en masse to vote to protect abortion rights. And they won big.

Also boosted Democrats in special elections in Nebraska and Minnesota. Solid GOP districts but the Republican won only narrowly

I don't trust any poll taken before Labor Day.

What kind of people are staying indoors at home, and have the time to talk to a pollster on a sunny warm day during the summer?

(The objective of most polls isn't to inform, it's to influence.)

Sounds like we’re going to have another wise ass Latina we have to refer to with an acronym instead of her overabundance of names. CCM. AOC. Etc.

Pro life views do well at the polls-at least 50/50 and if asked if there should be any restrictions on abortion past 24 weeks 75% agree-the other 25% are ???

No, but there is one way to try to counter the theft: Patriotic Americans must vote (on Election Day, to give the leftist demons as little advance information as possible) in such huge numbers that the election thieves will be forced to manufacture so many fraudulent “votes” in response that it drives the vote totals beyond the number of registered voters. This is the one stat that is always a clear sign of fraud and is impossible for leftists to explain away (not that they don’t try anyway). It happens somewhere in every election these days, but we need it to happen everywhere if another massive theft is attempted. Force them to explain the mathematical impossibility of their claimed results.

“Fox’s polls are always among the very worst.”

That has been proven year after year.
So why do they keep using this firm to do their polling?

Because the firm gives Fox the results they want to hear and feed to the public.

Sigh, I’ve said it a million times, but I’ll say it again. AUGUST POLLS DON’T MATTER. All they measure is name recognition, the vast majority of voters don’t even tune in until after Labor Day and most not even until mid-October. Just ask Hillary Clinton how much an August poll lead is worth, after she jumped to 9-point lead in August, then spent the next few months measuring curtains for the Oval Office and ended up losing on election day.

“Over half of midterm voters said their view on abortion will impact their decision at the polls.”

I hope that’s not the case. The polls I’ve seen show that the abortion issue is not even in the top 5 for voters overall.

Maybe they publish the way the questions are asked when taking a poll but I’ve never seen it. Push polling can go a long way to get the certain result you want.

Faulty logic. They’d rather have a Dem in there because they hand out “free goodies”. Plus gas has dropped dramatically...that and the market are the extent of peoples care about it. Running on the economy is a losing battle with these people. Crime and immigration! Repeat that line over and over again and Republicans will win!

We live in a new world. 90% of voters have their minds made up by now! Both sides are competing for that lat 10% (and also trying to gin up turnout)! Unfortunately, the PA conservatives on here plan to either vote for Fetterman or sit out the election just to stick it to Oz. Special kind of dumb up there it seems!
