Judge Reinhart formally rejects DOJ argument to keep Trump affidavit sealed, calls raid 'unprecedented'

Judge Bruce Reinhart on Monday admitted the FBI's raid on former President Trump's Mar-a-Lago home was "unprecedented" and formally rejected the Justice Department's argument to keep the affidavit leading to the search under seal, citing the "intense public and historical interest."

Reinhart, in a filing Monday morning, said he rejects "the Government’s argument that the present record justifies keeping the entire Affidavit under seal."

"The Government argues that even requiring it to redact portions of the Affidavit that could not reveal agent identities or investigative sources and methods imposes an undue burden on its resources and sets a precedent that could be disruptive and burdensome in future cases," Reinhart wrote. "I do not need to reach the question of whether, in some other case, these concerns could justify denying public access; they very well might."

Three-part Plan of the Democrats and the media to destroy the chances of President Trump’s election in 2024:

1) make up lies, ‘create’ evidence, illegally raid and search his home, then indict him on false charges.

2) steal the election with fake mail-in ballots, manipulated software, etc

3) if #1 and #2 don’t work, well...I’d rather not say, but we all know there’s no limit to their criminality.

The only thing that sticks on these black-robed tyrants is to have them disbarred and stripped of their taxpayer financed pensions.

Maybe the judge was getting a few offers he couldn’t refuse. After all this is Florida. Or he has reread the full affidavit and he realizes that the information is so damning against Trump he wants to be released.

I bet he didn”t realize that they would send 30-50 armed agents with an amphibious assault team, etc. with cameras blazing, and then break several laws themselves exhibiting “traits of crime” as they put it. His life is effectively over if he was expecting a future judgeship.

If it were, it would already be released.

Perhaps. But I think the affidavit is filled with FBI/DOJ generated lies, that he believed those lies (like so many lefties who just want/have to believe that Trump is the devil) and now that Trump team has fired back, he realizes he was misled into some deep doo-doo, and now he has no intention of being drawn into an illegal cover-up or being thrown under a bus.

The only way he could have been played, is if he just rubber-stamped it and never read what he had signed. Which means he did not do his job whatsoever. To me that makes him as culpable as the rest involved. He knows that to be the case, and is now running quite scared to say the least.

Maybe he'd been pulling on that bottle of Early Times??

Look, even the FISA judges thought being lied to was a big joke. They did nothing to punish the liars l.

Judges are government employees. They aren’t inclined to go out of their way to protect a citizen from the government

“Sources told Fox News that, due to attorney-client privilege, Trump’s team asked the Justice Department for their position on whether they would support a third party, independent special master to review those records, but sources told Fox News that DOJ notified Trump’s team that they would oppose that request.”

There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to oppose a Special Master...unless the government has something to hide.

Thursday th DOJ will submit a heavily redacted version. The Judge will then reject some of their redactions and present his version to DOJ. Doj will then appeal his decision which will take weeks to resolve. Stay Tuned.

Then why did he sign the search warrant? Didn’t he read it. Didn’t he ask questions?

It’s starting to look like DOJ lied to the judge on the warrant application.

Could be some backlash in FL. Remember the Trump boat parades? Those weren’t poor people for the most part.

You see, the raid wasn't "unprecedented" until Reinhart realized the extent of the uproar over it.

dementia joe’s DoJ: “it’s WAY too much trouble to have to propose redactions and sets a TERRIBLE precedent that future affidavits can’t automatically be kept completely secret ...”
