NASSAU, BAHAMAS (Reuters) - The U.S. climate bill signed into law this week restores the country's credibility as a leading player in U.N. climate negotiations, international officials said.
Years of failed Congressional action had left climate-focused presidents reliant on executive actions, which can be easily undone by other presidents or by courts. This made other countries wary of U.S. emissions-reduction promises.
The new bill "puts America on track to achieve our climate goals and encourage others in the world to increase their efforts," said John Kerry, U.S. special envoy on climate change, on Twitter.
U.S. allies welcomed the milestone as a sign that the country is matching its often-ambitious climate rhetoric with action.
From across the world on the Pacific island nation Fiji, which faces severe climate impacts including sea level rise, Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama said on Twitter that the law was a "win for the planet," even as he urged the United States to do more to account for its emissions over the last century.
"President Joe Biden's new climate law is the USA's most important show of solidarity to the Pacific since its re-entry to the Paris Agreement," Bainimarama said.
But China, currently the world's largest carbon emitter, cast doubt on whether the climate bill would help the United States achieve its greenhouse gas reduction goals.

Jasper and Val - a pair of real stooges.
What about China?
These two need to be in on the “BS” call. Have they no dignity beyond passing on scripts from state media pdf’s? Mass induced psychosis. Did they ever ask themselves why the leaders of the world all live on oceanfront estates if any of what they report is true?
Enforcement of the scam and fake Science.
I’m pledging to take no private jet trips in 2023.
Barf alert
Did they get their cut already ?
Barf
All I hear is “blah, blah, blah...climate change...blah, blah, blah”
A bag of weed could have done the same thing.
Like we give 2 rips about what “leaders abroad” think.
Credibility?
The global warming fraud?
Seriously?
Clearly the Democrats do not need science or corroboration before they take unnecessary and destructive action to reduce carbon dioxide, a trace gas that has nothing to do with climate change.
The cause of climate change is another greenhouse gas, a least 100 times greater.
The "action" will do nothing but wreck the world economies.
Eventually maybe the real cause of climate change will be acknowledged with sound science.

The Green New Deal - eliminating fossil fuels - will cost 400 trillion not 400 billion. But we are almost there. Just 1000 percent of GDP. Just throw everyone’s income down the drain forever. We don’t need food or shelter, let’s all die to save ourselves from 2 degrees of warming 100 years after we are dead.
Nixon our hero now?
FBI
BATF
EPA
ICE (big portions of it)
TCA (big portions of it)
This my short list of agencies to cut loose or severely
reduce the numbers of agents.
I know some of these folks are necessary, but I believe
they are bloated and don’t exactly do a great job.
My wife was a very decent looking woman, middle class
looking and not a potential threat at all. She dressed
immaculately and always looked top drawer. She was
traveling with a middle-aged White guy who looked like
a corporate business man.
Every time we went through an airport terminal, she
would be pulled aside for an elevated search.
Meanwhile, people traveling right beside us who looked
like they could be on a terrorist watch list, why they
sailed right through. “Right this way... anything we
can do for you?”
As for ICE, right now they’re just letting people walk
right in.
What’s the point? We are paying tens of billions to
facilitate illegal entry. We can par that down for
the time being.
This president won’t use them. Let’s save a few
hundred billion a year and lop of these dangers to
our republic. (FBI, BATF, and the EPA in particular)
Things could get a lot worse if dems get a senate majority and eliminate the filibuster via a simple rule change.
