The larger picture is Trump foreign policy vs the Bush-Cheney policy of stupid, endless Afghanistan and Iraq wars. That got us at least 5000 boys killed, 5000 maimed and 5 trillion dollars tossed down the rat hole.
Iraq we should have left alone. All we achieved is putting Shiites in charge that link to Shiite Iran. Afghanistan we went in to smash Al-Queda. We should have been in and out within 12 months.
