Sen. Coons: 'We May Not See Huge Impacts on Inflation in the First or Second Year'

(CNSNews.com) - Senate Democrats passed their so-called Inflation Adjustment Act on Sunday, but as one of those Democrats said, "we may not see huge impacts on inflation in the first or second year."

Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) told ABC's "This Week" that "this important, even landmark piece of legislation...will reduce prescription drug prices, reduce healthcare costs, reduce the deficit and make a big down payment on combatting climate change.

According to Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, "There isn’t a single thing in this bill that helps working people lower the prices of groceries, or the price of gasoline, or the price of housing, or the price of clothing. There isn’t a single thing in this bill that’s going to keep criminals in jail. There isn’t a single thing in this bill that’s going to secure our border. Those happen to be things that working people in this country care about.”

Not a single Republican voted for the Democrat bill, which Democrats pushed through using a process that requires only a simple majority vote.

Gawd what scum they are. They know this bill will make inflation much worse. This Coons is the turd who let Bidens mess with his daughter.

If I remember right inthe 90’s democrats predicted the oceans would flood America ten years into the future.

... “we may not see huge impacts on inflation in the first or second year.”...

Oh yes, we will. As businesses are taxed to death, all their increased costs will be passed on to us, as inflation, so we’ll see it very, very soon.

Alex Jones is pounding it. Tucker is pounding it. Bannon and Prosobiec are pounding it. Matt Gaetz is pounding it. These are the people getting the most insults here lately.

GOP leadership is out to lunch saying they don’t know what hit.

Taxpayers money to buy votes. Watch the unsustainable debt go up. With all these savings bills why is the debt so high?

According to Republican Sen. There isn’t a single thing in this bill that’s going to keep criminals in jail. There isn’t a single thing in this bill that’s going to secure our border.

I have never cared for the rhetorical device of repeating phrases or sentences over and over. Rubio could have easily said "There isn’t a single thing in this bill that helps working people lower the prices of groceries, gasoline, housing, or clothing. There isn’t a single thing in this bill that’s going to keep criminals in jail or secure our border".

Amazing isn’t it.

Congress….” Your hours is on fire”

Homeowner…”quick, call the fire department”

Congress….”re-elect me and I’ll make sure that the fire department and buy new trucks, hire more fireman, get the latest gear. Be able to put that fire out lickety-split”

Homeowner….but I need them now

Yep, instead of pretending he's some great orator, he should roll up his sleeves and get to work. He's spending too much time playing politician and too little time accomplishing anything.

The last two administrations engaged in massive debt issuance and then dumped those funds directly into the hands of consumers while choking off the economy. This inflation is the result. The inflation goes away when all that borrowed and gifted money makes it’s way through the system.

... it’s title is exactly opposite of its actual effect.

It's like that with every bill they propose.
180deg to the title. Same with their brains, 180deg out of phase.

I’d swear all these democrats are so shallow in not understanding their own bills & long term effects on their own voters. Dummies!

The left are sly! They pass this get rich quick scheme which will line the po kets of their pals and do NOTHING to reduce debt-

Then, people fed up with massive high prices will elect a republican who will actusl,y do something to reduce debt, and the left Will jump up and down claiming that their “economic relief plan” has finally kicked in, after they are out of power of course, and is working, and accuse the right of “taking credit for the liberal plan”
