(CNSNews.com) - Senate Democrats passed their so-called Inflation Adjustment Act on Sunday, but as one of those Democrats said, "we may not see huge impacts on inflation in the first or second year."
Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) told ABC's "This Week" that "this important, even landmark piece of legislation...will reduce prescription drug prices, reduce healthcare costs, reduce the deficit and make a big down payment on combatting climate change.
According to Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, "There isn’t a single thing in this bill that helps working people lower the prices of groceries, or the price of gasoline, or the price of housing, or the price of clothing. There isn’t a single thing in this bill that’s going to keep criminals in jail. There isn’t a single thing in this bill that’s going to secure our border. Those happen to be things that working people in this country care about.”
Not a single Republican voted for the Democrat bill, which Democrats pushed through using a process that requires only a simple majority vote.

Oh, please. Where have we heard those promises before? Anyone recall any democrat legislation that led to reduced prescription drug prices, lower health care costs, reduced the deficit, etc? Anyone?
Translation: “We know you serfs have short atttention spans.”
Then get your best speakers on each and every Sunday show from here until November to explain this. Then start the nationals ad campaign that illustrates this, stop talking and get into ACTION!
All of a sudden this clown is walking back his Bill.
They can’t help themselves. They don’t even try to hide it anymore.
Their contempt for us has no limit.

The argument the GOP is using (probably be design) is a loser. They should be pounding on the 87,000 IRS goons who are going to terrorize the American middle class. A simple message anyone can understand. This clause is probably the real reason for the bill.
Or ever. But the ruling class think they are forever, come what may.

Here’s the thing…. Even if this bill somehow is designed to help inflation to some minuscule degree…. These folks have no intention of stopping spending money. So what will the effect really be?

I know! I know! The bill is inflationary, ie, it’s title is exactly opposite of its actual effect. How I despise these bastards.
