So, I’m thinking that Mulvaney does some dirt, maybe not enough to get in real trouble but dirt nonetheless, gets called out, President Trump doesn’t want any of that nonsense near him, and Mulvaney is gone. And now he’s mad.

Because if I’m not mistaken, he was pretty Pro-Trump when he first took his job with the administration.

The thing is...Trump appointed this guy to two important places in his Administration. So either this guy is right, or Trump is pretty crappy at picking subordinates. That latter thing concerns me more than “mean tweets.”
