The good Samaritan who shot and killed the gunman who opened fire in the Greenwood Park Mall in Indiana on Sunday afternoon reportedly broke the property's policy against weapons.
The suspected shooter entered the mall on Sunday carrying a rifle and multiple magazines and opened fire in the food court, killing at least three and injuring three before he was shot to death. Greenwood Police Chief Jim Ison said the suspected shooter was killed by a "good Samaritan with a handgun."
The mall is owned by Simon Property Group, and the group's code of conduct, last updated in April of 2020, lists "No weapons" as number three.

You make an excellent point but you reach the wrong conclusion. In a free nation, the business owner SHOULD have the right to deny entrance based on sex, race and religion.
They will tear this guy apart while letting the Uvalde enabler cops off the hook.
I just spent 15 minutes on property owner Simon’s web site looking for these mythical “property rules” the Good Samaritan supposedly broke. Can’t find them. They did thank the Good Samaritan.

On the rare occasion I go to a mall, I will continue to carry.
” Broke Property Rules Against Guns”
Yawn. All the mall can do is bar him from the property...which would be ‘wonderful’ publicity, wouldn’t it??? /s
Why anyone visits a Simon property is beyond me.
So... had he followed the “rules,” the numbers of dead would’ve been in the dozens. WTF is the matter with these damned people?
Private business, yes. Public business, no.
I expect more businesses to follow the Costco and Sam's Club model where patrons have to be members, especially after Democrat cities decided to not prosecute shoplifters. If members get caught breaking the rules, such as shoplifting, their credit cards get charged and their membership is revoked. If they come back in, it's criminal trespass.
Wonder if that Marxist writer at Bezos owned Newsweek would have written that story if he had been sitting in that Food Court and had to face the murderer who was indiscriminately shooting people.
Q for Simon: Are you going to put your money where your corporate mouth is and press charges against the good guy with a gun...?
It goes back to something I’ve said for years in corporate management: “If you put up a sign to deal with X (whatever that might be), you’ve acknowledged that you recognize X to be a problem and you therefore have a responsibility to deal with it.”
That’s all Newsweek has to say? The good guy violated the rules of the management? This is the end result of the Communist completely taking over the media!
What’s a “public business?”
Democrat scum despise all individual freedom and power.
Not always.
Case in point: Chicago.
Per heyjackass.com:
Year To Date
Shot & Killed: 335
Shot & Wounded: 1487
Total Shot: 1822
Total Homicides: 366
Simon’s insurer/s will likely be picking up the tab for any settlements.
I can see the family of the deceased winning in court.
This good Samaritan could go to jail.
Ah, the squeeee of 5he outraged shitlib rat. Music to my ears.
A recent statistical study by John Lott (posted here on FR also) showed that school districts who allow staff to CCW have had a total of ZERO school shootings.
Did the “killer” “Violate’ any “laws”?
List them, NewsWeak
But, per local reporting, there have been a series of gun-related incidents at that mall over the last few months...
Note to Simon: Psssst, I don’t think your signage is working.
Unless it’s just there to cover your corporate a$$.
In which case, you’re gonna need a bigger sign.
