Juneteenth does sound juvenile
Juneteenth is a celebration of inequality
We already have too many race based or sex based “holidays”. It has become divisive and another reason to debate vs celebrate. Most retail stores and restaurants have not yet figured out how to bring it up in their ads.
The director evidently forgot the two rules when it comes to humor these days:
Rule #1. Politically correct jokes are fine, even if they are vulgar and actually not even funny.
Rule #2. Politically incorrect jokes of any type are hate speech. The teller of such a joke must be cancelled immediately.
It’s kinda like living in Brezhnev’s USSR. Straying from the party line won’t get you shot. But you will be punished in other ways.
The N.C. Apple Festival couldn’t happen without the dedication of the board members who serve and volunteers throughout the year as well as the apple growers, vendors, entertainers and downtown merchants that participate during the festival weekend.

Juneteenth became a national holiday simply out of spite of President Trump. Lets see any republican put up a law removing it as federal holiday, I doubt it since they are all cowards.
Hendersonville is 20 miles south of Asheville and is full of liberal Boomers and a dwindling population of The Greatest Generation Ever.
