CNN contributor Carl Bernstein said Tuesday on his network’s coverage of today’s hearing by the House Select Committee investigating January 6, 2021, that the testimony from Mark Meadow’s former aide Cassidy Hutchinson proved Donald Trump was a criminal, seditious president.
Bernstein said, “She gave the picture of a mad king. That’s what picture she drew was. Also, the whole idea is now absolutely confirmed, proven. He is a criminal and a seditious president of the United States, how the legal system, the Department of Justice deals with that, and we’re now talking about future obstruction evidence as Liz Cheney indicated, obstruction by the president of the United States presumably.”
He added, “There is now both a legal, moral, and political case in which Donald Trump is now in a total box, including with his supporters who have gone along with his criminality, who have gone along with his sedition up to now. So one of the big questions is how are some of these Republicans going to explain their silence, including Mitch McConnell. He’s known perhaps not that he was so far gone in his stability that he would try to grab the steering wheel, but look, on CNN, in the first and second years of Trump’s presidency, we were hearing from Republicans on the Hill using the term instability. He seems to be an unstable president. These same Republicans, as their wishes, as their political wishes became realized through Donald Trump as an instrument, they move aside, went along with things, they have known all along about this aspect of his quote character. They did not, perhaps, know that it went so far as the mad king that she was picturing today.”

Bernstein’s assessment of Ms Hutchinson’s testimony as proof makes me question the validity of his Watergate reporting and the reliability of information and ‘proof’ he used to help bring down a former President. We’re his journalistic standards always so flimsy, suspect and fraudulent?
He is such a pathetic hack.
You see, Trump was seditious because he knew that Congress should not consummate the election; he spoke against it.
Now...ask Berstein if there was ANY fraud in the elction.
I guarantee he will lsay that there was but not enough to change the elction.
So...a little bit of fraud is OK?

In a national election, a fraudulent vote in Arizona illegally cancels (not replaces) a legal vote Indiana.

Think strategically: was her Bullshitey Made-Up Not Accurate Easily Disproven testimony a positive or negative for Trump?
How many minds will be changed, each way?
Will anyone who would have voted for Trump two days ago now say they wouldn’t?

Bernstein gives away the game with this — if it needed giving away. The Dems desired to paint a damning picture. Hutchinson performed as their script required, except that she jumped the shark with the “Trump tried to carjack his own limo” yarn. That destroyed the credibility of her entire narrative.
Bernstein’s concept of “proof” is a hoot: third-hand hearsay repeated by someone not subject to cross-examination.
Sure, proven by a one-sided show trial without any defense.
Wattle boy does not believe in anyone whose views he opposes having access to a defense, or the ability to examine or impeach the “Witnesses.” Like Che said, “A trial is for the bourgeois.”
