President Biden remarked Friday that the Supreme Court's decision overturning Roe v. Wade made the U.S. an "outlier" in the West.
However, European nations largely have abortion laws that resemble regulations supported by many Republican-led state governments
"Upholding laws restricting abortion on demand after 20 weeks would situate the United States closer to the international mainstream, instead of leaving it as an outlying country with ultra-permissive abortion policies," the Charlotte Lozier Institute, a pro-life group, stated in 2014.
The report noted that the list of nations where abortion is legal past 20 weeks included North Korea, China and Vietnam.

I checked many EU nations. Most are as restrictive as the Missippie law or more so. In some abortion is illegal.
No, most people wouldn’t be “fine” with murdering babies in the first three months of life!
“Sorry, but no-ones rights are absolute when they impinge on someone elses rights.”

OK, so a baby’s right to life mustn’t impinge on the mother’s right for convenience, for not having to bother with carrying the child until she can give it up for adoption. For a young man having to pay child support. That terrible terrible inconvenience of pregnancy for 9 months versus a life of 60, 70, 80 years and the potential children and grandchildren of the murdered baby if it had been allowed to live! The life to be lived, things accomplished, love given..vs the right to not be inconvenienced for 9 months
Ok, THOSE rights, of course they are equal in value. Riiiiight….( hopefully/ sarc not needed!)
63% didn’t want Roe overturned

Here is a nice two decade plus history of polling on this issue from Pew Research. The most recent result is 61% abortion legal in all or most cases, and 37% for illegal in all or most cases.
So in another words you’ve got no response that applies to the problem at hand.
Well, we live in a country with representative government, not a theocracy.

So you oppose federalism, with DC being restricted from being a dictatorial bastion of leftism?
Yes they certainly were godly men and women, and a fair amount of the persecution that they were fleeing came from state religions. Fleeing for their lives from any religion, much less from fellow Christians, made an impression, and so we have a separation of church and state in this country.
Wonderful reply! The pragmatic approach also led to the Dred Scott decision. When you use money, polls, popularity, desire for political power or anything else to decide a ***moral*** question, great evil can result.
