President Biden remarked Friday that the Supreme Court's decision overturning Roe v. Wade made the U.S. an "outlier" in the West.
However, European nations largely have abortion laws that resemble regulations supported by many Republican-led state governments
"Upholding laws restricting abortion on demand after 20 weeks would situate the United States closer to the international mainstream, instead of leaving it as an outlying country with ultra-permissive abortion policies," the Charlotte Lozier Institute, a pro-life group, stated in 2014.
The report noted that the list of nations where abortion is legal past 20 weeks included North Korea, China and Vietnam.

A well run government will have clear expectations so that people will know what is and isn’t legal and will be able to plan accordingly. We do not have that on the abortion issue.

That’s because we’re individual states. Think of state in this case as a country, hence each state having it’s own constitution & three branches of government.
These states are United but in limited ways. Less limited now that fedgov has grown into a monstrosity of course. A little more limited now that a federal law wrongly created by a court, who’s job is not to create laws, has been correctly undone.
Does every EU country have the same abortion law? Doubtful.
If you need clarity, simply look up the laws for your state. If you don’t like them, move to another state that has laws more to your liking. Brilliant concept eh?

States rights arguments are best implemented in situations where you have some sort of change in the landscape making Federal laws impractical, sunny Miami vs Anchorage Alaska for building codes for example.

What do you mean? We don’t have clarity because now we can actually decide state by state? Do you even understand federalism? I think the Suprene Court made it very clear, it’s a state law issue.

You need to go back and retake U.S. civics. Especially note the 10th amendment. You apparently have no understanding of our country. Where are you from? That’s the whole point of our nation, we are a collection of separate states with individual laws, with the US constitution as a limit on federal powers. We are actually getting back to wha it always should have been regarding abortion laws.
We need to stop listening to these people, any politician. This was leaked on purpose and the hysteria surrounding it is unwarranted. We have no idea how this will turn out. We did not end abortion, infact given the young people there’s a high probability this will benefit not only abortionists, but the left in general.
