Vladimir Putin has accused Western leaders of clinging "to the shadows of the past" as he creates a new world order with his invasion of Ukraine.
The world will not be as it was before the "special operation", Putin said in his speech at the plenary session of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"It is erroneous to believe that one can sit and wait when the time of turbulent changes goes by, when everything goes back to where it was. It won't," Putin said.
According to him, the changes are fundamental, "crucial and inexorable”.
However, he said that Western countries "cling to shadows of the past".

I don’t know about “new” world order, but he’s started to smash the old one to bits.
Its not that complicated - since the fall of the Soviet Union, the USA has enjoyed sole superpower, and major reserve currency status. The DC-based deep-state has set up a network of control, using bases, military alliances and the US Dollar.
But we took it too far. We have wasted $$Trillions on DC-deep state wars and control-fantasies. They poured money and debt into wasteful wars like Iraq, but also, an ideology based shift to “green energy.” Yes, it also even includes “drag queen story hour.” We created a woke, ideological empire as well, especially at home. We shipped our manufacturing ability abroad to save a few more pennies for debt-service
