Meanwhile, Juneteenth in 1865, slavery was still legal in some of the slave states that remained in the Union. Maryland and Delaware had slavery until the 13th amendment was ratified in Dec that year.
Juneteenth was a neat little celebration until the politicians got involved.

I live in a small rural, no-industry town, WE feel the lack of food and the 100+ degree heatwave, the same one that killed 2,000 head of cattle and spring-born claves, that can’t be used even for dog food.
