Reasonable and effective solution. Take volunteers from school staff, who wants to carry concealed. May have 5 volunteers, may have 40. Give them training and protocols to follow.

Nobody knows who they are except the other teachers and staff. Kids, parents, no one else has a need to know.

But everyone knows, that every school, has people on staff carrying, and if you go in there brandishing a weapon you are going to get shot pretty quick.

A caller to the David Webb show on SiriusXM last month had an idea:

Install gun wall safes throughout the school like fire extinguishers. Have the safes labeled as lethal (firearms) and non-lethal (tasers), and have them be fingerprint activated with all the qualified teachers' fingerprints programmed into the safes.

Furthermore, whenever a lethal weapon safe is opened, automatically notify the local PD to respond.

The caller said the technology is there, it's just a matter of getting it into the schools.
