The Republican up by 74 votes but last Friday the Supreme Court 6-3 with Alito, Gorsuch and Thomas dissenting allowed 253 undated mail-in votes to be counted.

Now the Democrat wins by five votes.

You may hit a pay wall on this but the core story can be seen in the excerpt it will out there on the news wires in the hours ahead.

Barrett and Kavanaugh stab everyone in the back again. They didn’t want to even hear any case involving 2020, but they’re willing to stick themselves into the middle of a judge election.

Please note that three justices didn’t want this to happen (Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas).

On COVID vaccine mandates I’ve noticed those three in a firm minority so please note it looks like those three justices are the most deeply conservative at this point, the rest can drift off.

I hope people will keep this in mind. This ruling is a formula for cheating.

I’m not sure the Federal courts should really have any say in state election processes anyway. What was the compelling Federal interest in this case?

It never ceases to amaze me how any rule or law that makes elections less secure always seems to favor democrats every time

When you said “Drift Off” my brain substituted something else in there.

Less polite.

The ruling isn’t as outlandish as it seems.

The ballots in question arrived on time and/or with postmarks indicating that they had been mailed before the deadline.

The PA courts ruled in favor of counting these ballots because they were faced with a ludicrous scenario where the PA law required ballots to be mailed in envelopes that had dates on them, but didn’t specify WHICH date was to be posted. So some precincts followed the letter of the law and accepted ballots with ludicrous dates like July 4, 1776 and December 7, 1941 posted on them.

Happens every time...

They count, and recount, until the democrat wins.

In person voting totals should only be reported after all mail ins, absentee, and drop ballots are tallied and settled. Watch them squirm.

” where the PA law required “

Ludicrous?

Then change the law.

Ballot access & qualification, both for the Candidate and for the Votes are key methods for controlling elections in Blue States.

Why have a “law” when it can easily be ignored?
Why not have a 1 year window on submitting mail in votes?

“Now the Democrat wins by five votes.”

I’ve always said that on any game (football, baseball, etc) that was decided on one bad ref call, the losing team should not whine. If they didn’t play hard enough or good enough to make that not matter, they screwed up. (NO, this sentiment does not excuse the cheating, thieving rats).

what is the point of a legislature making voting laws, if EVERY LAW THE MAKE can be ignored by the courts!!!

ITS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANNOYING!!!!

states need to start passing constitutional amendments prohibiting their state supreme courts from not following election laws AS WRITTEN!!!!!!!!!!
