I think one of the biggest problems we have with Congress, is that so many of its denizens -- Dem and GOP alike -- are tech-illiterate, or close to it. They still believe that what they see on the "Evening News" is actually "the way it is." Those of us who use the internet daily -- or constantly -- know there was no "whipping" going on. Even the photographer confirmed that. But all Congressman Bozo -- of whatever party -- saw on the "Evening News" while nursing his third martini was the allegation that the Border Patrol was treating "migrants" like runaway slaves. And that was it. "Something must be done!" He or she said, or, rather, slurred.
There is a massive disconnect between people who just believe what their teevee tells them, and those who care enough to do a little online research and get the actual facts. I'd almost guarentee you there are few in Congress who make that effort.
I'm quite sure that many of those now harping about "Misinformation!" are actually saying that something that differs from what they saw on their old dependable "Evening News" cannot possibly be true.
Time for the union to earn their keep. They had better be preparing to fight for these agents.
This is another in a series of questionable actions by Alejandro Mayorkas. Maybe it has its roots in his Cuban background where legions of his countrymen came to Miami in boats. 50 Republican members of Congresshave already questioned his actions and “suitability for office.” He has already failure to secure the border and enforce the laws passed by Congress. When Mayorkas announced the creation of the ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ that should have been the last straw.
