Should Biden Run in 2024? Democratic Whispers of 'No' Start to Rise
New York Times via Yahoo News ^ | June 12, 2022 | Reid J. Epstein and Jennifer Medina

Midway through the 2022 primary season, many Democratic lawmakers and party officials are venting their frustrations with President Joe Biden’s struggle to advance the bulk of his agenda, doubting his ability to rescue the party from a predicted midterm trouncing and increasingly viewing him as an anchor that should be cut loose in 2024.

As the challenges facing the nation mount and fatigued base voters show low enthusiasm, Democrats in union meetings, the backrooms of Capitol Hill and party gatherings from coast to coast are quietly worrying about Biden’s leadership, his age and his capability to take the fight to former President Donald Trump a second time.

Interviews with nearly 50 Democratic officials as well as with disappointed voters who backed Biden in 2020, reveal a party alarmed about Republicans’ rising strength and extraordinarily pessimistic about an immediate path forward.

“To say our country was on the right track would flagrantly depart from reality,” said Steve Simeonidis, a Democratic National Committee member from Miami. Biden, he said, “should announce his intent not to seek reelection in ’24 right after the midterms.”

Democrats’ concerns come as the opening hearing of the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol made clear the stakes of a 2024 presidential election in which Trump, whose lies fueled a riot that disrupted the peaceful transfer of power, may well seek to return to the White House.

For Biden and his party, the hearings’ vivid reminder of the Trump-inspired mob violence represents perhaps the last, best chance before the midterms to break through with persuadable swing voters who have been more focused on inflation and gas prices. The party may miss its final opportunity to hold Trump accountable as Biden faces a tumultuous two years of a Republican-led House obstructing and investigating him.

Everyone at the NYT knew Biden was not physically healthy or mentally aware enough to run the first time. He has no chance a second time, no matter how good his medical care is or what tricks the Democrats pull.

Republicans win back Congress in November, vote to make Trump Speaker of the House. Impeach Biden and Harris. Trump becomes President and may still be eligible in 2024.

Ha! Does it matter? No, of course not. Biden can “win” a second term because he didn’t “win” his first. If the Deep State overlords want him, then they will make it so. Silly us, thinking that voting will right the wrong. It will not.

Do they ever say it out loud that Joe may not be anywhere but in a nursing home by 2024? Alternatively, I can see them using Joe‘s going to “the great hunting ground in the sky” right on their schedule as a big campaign promotion a la the infamous Wellstone Memorial.

President Trump will wipe the sucker out.

Unless there is widespread election fraud. The rats 🐀 tend to cheat on many elections. They could do it again, and get away with it. 👎 I know that sucks, but that is reality.

I’m really getting sick of the media pretending that Joe Biden has any chance of being around for a second term

Rarely, if ever. The only ones whom I've seen openly talking about his dementia are the Australian commentators.

Slow joe didn't "run" the first time, he slept it out but there is no way that the msm can cover for him again.

If he does run and there are still "mail in ballots" he may set a record of 95,000,000 ballots.

I am out of words for how much I hate what has happened to our country.

Next year it will be back to the basement and another year long nap for Pedo-Joe while the DNC
creates another 15 million fraudulent ballots to keep their strangle hold on America.

I don’t disagree with you but let’s face facts. We keep saying this, Biden is almost dead, Hillary is on her deathbed etc..., And yet these people keep living.

There’s the Biden problem and also the problem with his, or his party’s, agenda. Replacing Biden and not changing the agenda do no good.
