Uvalde Mom Who Saved Her Children Says She's Being Threatened By Law Enforcement ["officers were more aggressive with parents than with the active shooter"]

The brave Uvalde mom who rescued her two sons from Robb Elementary School during the devastating shooting that killed 19 students and 2 adults is speaking up about being threatened by law enforcement.

Angeli Rose Gomez told CBS News that she was informed that if she continues to talk to media about her fearless actions, she would be charged with a probation violation for obstruction of justice.

Gomez did not identify the member of law enforcement who called her. As soon as she heard that there was an active shooter at Robb Elementary, she drove around “100 miles per hour,” she told CBS News, to save her children.

“Right away, as I parked, a US Marshal started coming toward my car, saying that I wasn’t allowed to be parked there,” she explained. “And he said, ‘Well, we’re gonna have to arrest you because you’re being very uncooperative.’

Gomez then criticized how officers were responding to the situation. “Y’all are standing with snipers and y’all are far away, I got to go in there,” Gomez stated. Shortly after, she was “immediately placed in cuffs.” As soon as the handcuffs were removed, she immediately jumped a fence and sprinted into the school.

Gomez also explained that officers were more aggressive with parents than with the active shooter. Eventually, she received a call from a judge commending her actions, which made her feel more comfortable to speak up about what happened. Gomez became teary-eyed when discussing how the decision police made to stall cost innocent children their lives.

Yeah. School shootings are almost universally a single shooter. Insert 3,4...? cops in different entries and converge on the shooter.

Not surprising, Nully. She did something that cost a lot of people their life. She did not kneel for them. And defied them. They can’t tolerate that.

Why was a US Marshal there? Do they have an office in Uvalde?

News reports of the Uvalde school shooting make the Uvalde law enforcement out as a bunch of fools who didn’t want to get their hands dirty.

If the police are going to be cowards during situations like this, and all arrows point to they are cowards, then they need to get the hell out of parents way, and let us handle it. Guarantee parents could stop these shooters quicker than any police force has thus far.

ALL OF THAT TO SAY...

SERIOUS S@#T needs to go down in Uvalde to where cops live in abject FEAR of local parents; local law is WAAAY too complacent.

I thought when the cops arrived they were in charge of the scene. Maybe it’s different down in Texas.

They don’t need people crossing into their fields of fire, granted other mistakes were made but I think keeping the parents away from a potential hazard such as an active shooter... was probably in everybody’s best interest.

Supposing they have let the parents go fetch children at an active shooting and the parents got shot up? What would they be saying on the boards today if that was the scenario?

No. The nearest office is in San Antonio. 85 miles away.

Apparently they are afraid of the parents. Did you see the school board meeting with armed guards?. The guards were facing the Mom/speakers. they should have been arresting the school board. The guards should have been browbeat and bugged as to why they were there?

The cops were so in charge that they stood around and did nothing while the perp was *still* in there executing kids for more than twenty minutes.

How would *anything* the parents did somehow make the situation worse? Worse comes to worse, the parent could suck up some bullets that would otherwise kill kids. Most parents would say they’d make that trade.

There’s *zero* excuse for the recorded behavior of the Uvalde CISD and city police on the scene. Also interesting that the Uvalde police *deleted* 18 minutes of comm traffic recording immediately after.

The “good” cops cover for the “bad” ones. They never rat on each other.

In a just world they would be invisible at any coffee shop, last to be seated and never served at all the restaurants, skipped over at the deli, never get a haircut, never buy a shirt, never see a smile, and always, always, always hear whispering and snickering behind them.
