I’m so glad that Chris and the family is open and receptive to these treatment options. I kneel in prayer with them asking the good LORD to heal our good friend Jim.
Thank you again.
Had palliative with my mom and stepfather. Very helpful. Not full hospice. Help with meds, treatment, bathing, and physio.
Delirium is common in older adults in a different setting where they are constantly awakened for vitals/meds and can’t determine night or day. Just went through it with Mom during a hospital stay.
IMHO....he would do so much better at home with healing and comfort...and around loved ones.
God bless. Thanks for the update. Will continue praying!!!
Exactly.
Delirium can be caused by a UTI and those are quite common in people in wheel chairs. I sincerely hope they’re checking that. I have zero confidence in main stream medicine. They are equal in effectively to main stream media.
Hope he gets the best care through the VA. He deserves it.
The pressure alternating air mattress is great - my FiL is immobile and has one for his bed. We are looking into getting one for his chair as well.
Thanks Amy
I believe sepsis can cause delirium. If that’s what’s causing it, I would expect it to clear up soon with the use of antibiotics. Prayers for a quick recovery.
Continuing prayers for Jim, family, and Jim’s care team!
“Jim is experiencing some delirium. but [the doctor] was able to get him back in focus.”
Please tell Chris to tell Jim that we miss him, we need him and we love him.
And that if he’s not well soon, we all agreed that Laz and Hum’ Gunner should run the show.
Praying harder. Thank you.
Thank you for the update. Prayers ongoing...for Jim and his immediate family, and joining in with the FR family to surround them with concern and love.
My MIL had palliative care when battling cancer, it is a great support with nurse visits, meds, equipment.
The difference between hospice and palliative care is hospice is focused on providing comfort and support services for a condition that is no longer treatable (and typically expected to be terminal in 6 months - although I know dementia patients who have been on it for over a year), while palliative care provides comfort and support services while the person is still being treated.
I told Chris to tell Jim to get well and get his ass back to work. We need him. LOL
Hope Jim gets to the point soon that he will enjoy my message
Praise the LORD he is coming home!
Make sure he drinks GULPS of American Biotics Silver Liquid. It saved the life of a 94 year old friend who had stage 4 pressure sores.
He will, Amy. God still answers our prayers.
You hang in there and be sure to take good care of yourself during this time. May God bless you.
We are keeping Jim and all of you in our prayers.
Thank you for the update.
Thanks, JustAmy.
More prayers headed up!
