The more that comes out about the botched police response in Uvalde, Texas, the worse it looks for the local cops. It turns out that while UPD officers waited for a key or some such nonsense, an off-duty Border Patrol tactical agent drove 40 miles from having lunch to storm the school and neutralize the social misfit killer.
Not only did the Border Patrol agent not get to finish his lunch, he needed staples to close a grazing bullet wound to his head.

That’s exactly what I’ve been wondering. The “authorities” absolutely need to inform the public on whether the murderer was one of the 2018 duo, or in any way connected or suspected of involvement with that plot.
I just found this:
“Texas DPS Director Steven McCraw said during a news conference on May 27, 2022, that there is no connection between the 2018 incident and the 2022 shooting. He said the Robb Elementary shooter is not the same person as the 13-year-old or 14-year-old referenced in the 2018 police report.”
Similar on numerous news sites. Whether Director McGraw is being, er, candid, is a tossup. I wonder if the recent murderer attended Uvalde’s Morales Jr. High in 2018.
Where was he getting his haircut? What city?
I’d also like to know more about the agent who was getting a haircut.

If you map out San Antonio to Uvalde - and grasp the knowledge we now have of the timeline - it makes more sense.
The first hand account that I heard from a radio reporter said that, while getting a haircut, on his day off, in Uvalde, his phone buzzed. His wife, who is a teacher at the grade school, texted him “active shooter, we need help, love you, bye.” Told his barber he had to go and the barber, who noted the agent was un-armed, gave him his shotgun. This agent didn’t have kids at the school, only a wife.
I guess we’ll have to wait for the detailed account of which agent did what after that.

And the media seems to be totally ignoring this.
Why was this shooter and the buffalo shooter in the same discord chatroom with a “former federal agent?”
At least one of the border patrol agents had a wife and child at the school, so no the border patrol did not have insider information.
Now the FBI had calls from people who interacted with the shooter online. So they had information. Also the local police knew about the 2018 incident about kids plotting a mass murder to be carried out in their senior year. So they had inside information too. Who were the kids arrested. Was anyone else involved in 2018 plan?
And were there more kids involved than the two arrested.
Border Patrol used to be serious gun fighters. It appears that at least one still is. God bless them.
