The first hand account that I heard from a radio reporter said that, while getting a haircut, on his day off, in Uvalde, his phone buzzed. His wife, who is a teacher at the grade school, texted him “active shooter, we need help, love you, bye.” Told his barber he had to go and the barber, who noted the agent was un-armed, gave him his shotgun. This agent didn’t have kids at the school, only a wife.
I guess we’ll have to wait for the detailed account of which agent did what after that.

Don't know exactly where Agent Albarado was at the time his wife texted him at a barbershop. But she teaches at Robb elementary, and his daughter attends there. He must have been pretty close.
