The suspected gunman who slaughtered 19 students and two teachers Tuesday at a Texas elementary school fired shots outside the school for 12 minutes before entering, an official said.
Eighteen-year-old Salvador Ramos spent approximately 12 minutes outside of Robb Elementary School firing shots before he walked into the school and barricaded himself in a classroom, Regional Director for the Texas Department of Public Safety, Victor Escalon, said Thursday, according to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
Escalon was unable to provide any answers Thursday as to why no one stopped Ramos from entering the school, the WSJ reported.

State authorities, including the Texas Rangers, are investigating the Uvalde Police Department amid concerns and questions that officers did not respond quickly enough. Officers were present throughout the attack, with many standing in the parking lot during the 30-60 minute period in which Ramos opened fire. Authorities did not breach the classroom until a staff member gave them a key to unlock the door, the Associated Press (AP) reported.

Self help is the best help.
I can’t seem to find a timeline of when the cops receive the initial call and when they arrived on scene.
I find that a bit odd, and I’ve reviewed 2 or 3 timelines.
Almost like they were paid off to not respond?
Sorry. I just assume the worst when it comes to this government.
Now you really have to wonder why the doors weren’t locked 🤪
Just listened to Mark Levin. The incompetence and cowardice is stunning. They could not shoot the door down? Left him alone with the children for one solid hour. I heard they used a key, finally. The two teachers were the ones who stood up to the killer and were murdered.
politicians and lawyers have converted public schools into mass deathtraps for children
One thing troubles me......If the door to the school was unlocked... who locked it after the creep got in.
Also I have read that the grandmother worked at the school, was the door actually unlocked or did he take a key from the grandma?
Something terribly wrong here.
12 minutes?
Shades of Parkland.
If this were indeed true, again, why no doors locked from the outside and no security guard?
??
Seems they had plenty of time to lock the doors.
“””Now you really have to wonder why the doors weren’t locked “””
I do not wonder because the teachers, principals, and administrators are all members of the teachers union.
The Principal in this case was probably more concerned about the ‘preferred pronoun’ of the shooter.
Or a code maybe?
Know someone who worked in a local daycare.
Coded entry pad for door.
He’s outside shooting the place up, and it occurs to no one that it might be a good idea to lock the doors to the ******g school?
12 minutes to make sure all the doors were locked.
yah
Don’t expect to get the truth. The police have morphed into well-armed and nattily dressed frauds who only “serve and protect” themselves. How effective were cops at Columbine or Parkland? They stood around and looked ferocious and just let kids just die.
Today’s cops are protected by their union - and they aren’t even close to being like our armed forces. The whole point of their career is getting home, not saving lives.
Agreed that self help is best.
Could it be possible that fire was not returned during the 12 minutes because he was shooting from in front of a school full of kids?
