Extra sad... the drum kit he played when in the Plastic Ono Band, among other memorabilia, was stolen about 2 or 3 months ago (Seattle area, where he lived) .
Some has been recovered but not that special drum kit.
Top notch drummer. Saw him with YES in Long Beach on the ‘79 Tormato tour. “In the round.”
RIP Alan old chap
I saw Yes 3 times back in the day, once In The Round. A very talented group of musicians.

Didnt know he lived in the USA
They really pushe d the vax in Wash St. wonder what the cause of death was....
RIP, Mr. White.

RIP.
The work he did on “Tales From Topographic Oceans” was absolutely surreal. Still my favorite Yes album.
I also saw Yes 3 times - all in Cincinnati - and the last was “in the round”.
We had a private suite w/seats just outside the suite - waaaay up in the rafters. GREAT show but horrible sound quality from the rafters.
Life is Fragile, handle with care!
It’s a great one. I also really like the relatively unheralded Relayer (‘74), White’s debut with the band.
The years have passed too quickly.
What a great band. A great drummer. RIP, Alan White.
Bill Bruford was their original drummer.
Sad. I also saw that Andy Fletcher from Depeche Mode died as well at age 60.
Yes
Everyone is dying off
We knew this would happen
Classic rock still played 60 years later
The artists leaving the stage
Hopefully Instant Karma didn’t get him.
I loved the old LP record cover artwork. CDs cover art was too small to enjoy.
Now we just download MP3s and MP4s.
Yes can trace its roots back to 1968 and is still performing.
Few bands of any era can claim that longevity.
One of my favorite bands. The Three LP “Yessongs” was my introduction to the band. The art work of Roger Dean is immortal.
