In some states(don’t know about Texas) Border Patrol Agents are considered law enforcement just like a police officer. In AZ Border Patrol Agents are not considered LEOs by state law, but we can and do back up the police.
I knew an agent who was assaulted on duty and the police could not charge the offender with assaulting a officer because in AZ we are not LEOs. He had to file a police report as a private citizen.

It’s not exactly clear by the video on the Daily Mail out of the UK, but they show the shooter entering. It appears as though he had some sort of long gun.
The picture is too grainy to tell what exactly he was holding. So if it was a gun they likely did not open the door for him whether he was known or not.
Bogus CNN numbers. Only 4 in Nigeria over a dozen years? Plenty of Jihadi mass killings there including at the Christian schools.
My school was wide open too, but that was 50+ years ago. I know our local school district has made some major changes to control access to school properties in recent years. Of course, they also make the kids use clear plastic backpacks, which do nothing to prevent shootings like this one.

She was a teacher there, and Lanza killed her, then went to the school deliberately to kill what he thought she cherished more than him, or so some say.

My local elementary school locks their doors. But since the doors are glass, they would last just two seconds against a determined intruder.
Be interesting if it was found out that the weapon was one of the ones Obama and Holder sent across the border...
