I am a middle-aged African American father, reeling from the sheer horror of what happened to members of my community in Buffalo. Through my pain, I am praying for all the victims and their traumatized families, friends and neighbors -- and for all the minority Americans who are feeling even more afraid now than they did before.

If it's all about luck, what does anyone, black or white, have to do at all? The point is that everyone inherits a set of pre-conditions, good and bad, at their birth and they have to find the courage and wisdom to make the best life for themselves they can.
If the author truly believes that society is rigged for white people, why were things for minorities in the past significantly safer and more prosperous. If he wants to correct the life outcome for all people, he should focus on what works for the successful ones. It might start with not electing incompetent and corrupt Democrat politicians for a change.

Yeah its insane. I have 3 kids. Their lot in life ended up with what made sense for the INDIVIDUAL. I have a UPS driver, and 2 accountants. The poor down trodden UPS driver makes much more than the 2 accountants. Skin color doesn’t matter. Effort matters. Long hours on the BS low level jobs for all 3 Determined how their currency jobs would end up. Not one time was I ever asked for my white privileged card while working up the latter. I guess if my entitlement attitude showed up then things might be very different.
