Mitch McConnell Dings ‘Isolationist’ Rand Paul: ‘Tiny Percentage of the Senate Republican Conference’

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell dinged fellow Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul for being “an isolationist.”

Last week, Paul managed to delay passage of a $40 billion aid package to help Ukraine fend off Russia’s invasion. The Senate ultimately passed the measure on Thursday.

“My colleague Senator Paul has always been – basically – an isolationist. He’s proud of it and believes that’s where America ought to be. That is a tiny percentage of the Senate Republican conference. We only had 11 votes against the package. I predict we will have even fewer votes opposed to the admission of Finland and Sweden into NATO.”

Remember, Mcconnel is the POS that refused to consider stimulus for the American people which cost us the Senate races in GA and control of the Senate. And NOT ONE DIME for Trump’s wall. But $40 billion for ukraine and the biden family.

Because sticking our nose into other country’s business has worked out so well in the past; right Mitch?

Tough crap, Neocon.

During the 6 days that Rand held up the money laundering to Ukraine, Russia fully liberated Mariupol, and now has just about completed the liberation of the Donbas.

Life sucks, Mitch. You lose.

“...That is a tiny percentage of the Senate Republican conference...”

maybe a small percentage of the Republican conference, but a huge number of Republican voters will tell you this nation doesn’t have that much money to spend on foreign ventures. Get it out of the Europeans!!!

I’ll take an isolationist like Rand Paul over an interventionist like Mitch McConnell.

"That is a tiny percentage of the Senate Republican conference.

Which is horribly unfortunate.

Yet Mitch is PROUD that most of his fellow GOP Senators are globalist anti-Americans.

A much, much greater percentage of the base of the Republican party is opposed to continuing throw money into a war that has absolutely nothing to do with our national security.

Globalism, the "new world order" and neoconism is dying.

What The Turtle said is likely true. What he omitted is, that Paul, for his inconsistencies, is FAR more popular with the Republican base than The Turtle is.
That said, Kentucky Republicans appear to be totally out of step with the majority of the Republican base. They keep reelecting The Turtle again and again. Ditto for the clueless in South Carolina regarding Little Linda Grahamnesty.
Rush referred to those people as Low Information Voters. He was correct. Those people will be the downfall of this Republic.

The wrong senator from Kentucky is the senate minority leader right now. Mitch may end up costing the GOP a huge chance at winning the senate back. Sometimes it's best to step back and let two waring nations have at it. This keeps them busy beating the crap out of each other and saves putting our troops in harms way when there is no political will for victory.

In such a case sometimes it's better to allow themselves to war with each other as it keeps them too busy too harm others. Iran and Iraq was one such example. I believe this to be a case with Ukraine and Russia. I don't like nor trust Putin and he is likely soon on his way out of office. I see no advantage in us helping someone who helped Joe on the Ukraine side. Choose your battles wisely and Joe Biden is too foolish and senile to lead our nation through a war.
