Leave with 3 older vets still in house?? I don’t think so...LOL!!
Bella knew you would have a good reason for being late. 🙂
Tomorrow will be bittersweet...mourning the loss yet rejoicing the in promise of the Resurrection for my mentor, teacher, and friend who showed me so much about Byzantine chant.

Our last time together was at the Agape Vespers of Pascha.
God Bless our military men and women who have given their all.
Thanks, unique.
A 20-mule team couldn’t have dragged me out. LOL
I went through earlier in the day with an AF veteran who was a lot of fun.
A good day overall. It was a pretty day and that hurt us as far as the number of visitors we had. After last weekend being so ugly and cold, people were busy doing things they couldn’t last weekend. Can’t blame ‘em for that.
Good evening, Janey...((HUGS))...WOOHOO and in school. Shavua Tov and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Is it toasty warm in Kansas? How long is your Cessna school?
Howdy, luvie.
Are you getting a little relief from the blistering heat yet?
A bit toasty here but not quite as bad as they predicted. And no rain in our area. We need it SOON because the guy who owns the field across the road spread more poo the last two days. We thought he was through with that! LOL
Hey there, radu.
Absolutely no relief. As a matter of fact, after today’s 98, it will be over 100 for at least the next week. I’m melting. They are saying our electric grid is at risk, too. I hope we stay online.
Oh, no! LOL! I hope it rains soon and settles that awful smell. Let’s see how the new neighbors take it. If you see a for-sale sign next week.....
Good evening, lightman, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
And a blessed Fifth Sunday of Easter (Western)/Sunday of the Paralytic (Orthodox).
Are you having nice spring weather?
Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.
Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day;
Earth's joys grow dim; its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou who changest not, abide with me.
Not a brief glance I beg, a passing word,
But as Thou dwell'st with Thy disciples, Lord,
Familiar, condescending, patient, free.
Come not to sojourn, but abide with me.
Come not in terrors, as the King of kings,
But kind and good, with healing in Thy wings;
Tears for all woes, a heart for every plea.
Come, Friend of sinners, thus abide with me.
Thou on my head in early youth didst smile,
And though rebellious and perverse meanwhile,
Thou hast not left me, oft as I left Thee.
On to the close, O Lord, abide with me.
I need Thy presence every passing hour.
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power?
Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me.
I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness.
Where is death's sting? Where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.
Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes;
Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies.
Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee;
In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.
Not to hot, not to cold.
Shaken, not stirred.
Well darn. I’d hoped you’d get a little relief, at least, from the heat.
I’ve been going back through posts and just saw the thread about ERCOT’s warning. I, too, hope you don’t lose power!
On the 10:00 weather forecast, they said we have a decent chance for rain tomorrow evening and we hope that holds true. We need that stink tamped down and the corn needs a drink.
The folks who bought the house across the road haven’t moved in yet. Someone mowed the yard Thursday morning and the phone line was run from pole at the road to the house that afternoon. I really hoped they’d show up at the house today so they could learn what country life is really like. Welcome to the neighborhood! LOL But Hubby said he never saw anyone over there.
But you were short-handed, were you not? Were you kept busy enough?
Well, darn! I was hoping they’d be there too. I can hardly wait for them to tell that farmer to stop with the stinky stuff. ROFL!!!
No relief. In any way. Until next Saturday. The good news...if there is any...is with our low humidity, the nights will be in the very low 70s. I migh sleep outside. LOL!
Hope you get your rain. You won’t be wanting to go outside till you do. Ugh
Yes, there were just two of us today so it was a blessing the weather kept the numbers down. It was manageable today.
I know there was rain up in the part of TN where the rest of our bunch went for the TN Maneuvers event. I don’t know if it rained hard where they were or not though. I hope things went well up there for them today.
Hey, WE’D love to tell the farmer not to use that stinky stuff too! LOL But it’s used by a lot of them around here. Good stuff, though it’s really rank. The corn is growing fast and is beautiful already.
At least you know you’ll have nice cool nights ahead, and that gives your kitties a welcome break too.
We have a day or two next week in the low 80s but the rest of the next 7 days will be high 80s and low 90s. Some chances for rain, too, which will keep the humidity up.
