Absolutely.
Social media also plays a huge part in the sexual/gender identity confusion of kids and young adults.
I suppose one solution is to just say no and quit but like so much in the world social media has addictive properties. When I was growing up tv was a big addiction. Reading too much FR can get one down. Even though it’s mostly the world of news seen through conservative eyes it can still get you depressed.
So if Deep States (plural) can’t control social media, social media is suddenly a threat to public health.
Gee, doesn’t take take too many neurons to see where this is going, eh?
From the article: “ They can’t keep up with filters, so when they wake up in the morning and check their phone, the first thing they see is hate. Then they are constantly pinged all day long with more hate. They can’t sit and enjoy a dinner with friends because of the incessant interruptions.”
It’s astonishing that people INVITE this intrusion into their daily lives.
I have never had a hateful comment from a friend on FB. Not one. I have had hateful comments from past supervised criminal justice people. Blocked them. I suggest people to block anyone at the first sign of hate.
This piece reminds me how necessary it is to unplug from our devices, phones, tablets, TVs, etc. Go out into the world and experience it without your device, like we used to do before we had them.
If one is anchored in Christ the news and social discord take on a less formidable tone and importance. That is not to say there is immunity from suffering, whether physically or mentally, but it does mean the sure and certain knowlege that you are not “going it alone” and that all things work together for good in the end.
The creators of social media know all this and don’t care. They just want more people walking around like zombies staring at a black rectangle that they all carry around.
If an alien landed on Earth, he would first notice that half the Earthlings are mesmerized by that thing they are holding in front of their faces, and that it is more important to them than the people around them or traffic lights.
And then he would scoot out of here and go back to his home planet.
Never has man had so much information at his fingertips yet was so stupid.
Yup.
there is a new intervention show called social media intervention..
