~ The FReeper Canteen Presents ~ ~ Happy Mother's Day 2022!! ~
Proverbs 31:10-31
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him good and no evil all the days of her life. 13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. 14 She is like the merchants'; ship; she bringeth her food from afar. 15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. 16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. 17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. 18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. 19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. 20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. 23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. 24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. 25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Ohhhhhhhhh....a swap would have been terrific!! I’m going to have to water tomorrow.
Sleep was better than all week. Got my hair cut, then off to work for less than an hour, and I brought the loppers upstairs. Will use them in the back yard, maybe latter today (sunset isn’t until 10:20), but more likely tomorrow. Then the annoying bush right next to the front porch that keeps growing every year no matter how bad I treat it will become much shorter and not cover my thermometer on the porch.

Howdy, luvie.
I gather the thermostat has cranked up over there by now? Y’all sucked up all the heat. It’s downright nippy over here. I had to wear a jacket today and we switched from AC to heat.

How Great Is Our God!
Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Psalm 111:2
Fingerprints have long been used to identify people, but they can be faked by creating copies. Similarly, the pattern of the iris in the human eye is a reliable source for ID—until someone alters the pattern with a contact lens to skew the results. The use of biometrics to identify individuals can be defeated. So, what qualifies as a unique identifying characteristic? It turns out that everyone’s blood-vessel patterns are unique and virtually impossible to counterfeit. Your own personal “vein map” is a one-of-a-kind identifier, setting you apart from everyone else on the planet.
Pondering such complexities of human beings should prompt a sense of worship and wonder for the Creator who made us. David reminded us that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14), and that is certainly worth celebrating. In fact, Psalm 111:2 reminds us, “Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.”
Even more worthy of our attention is the divine Maker Himself. While celebrating God’s great deeds, we also must celebrate Him! His deeds are great, but He’s even greater, prompting the psalmist to pray, “For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God” (86:10).
Today, as we consider the greatness of what God does, may we also marvel at the greatness of who He is. — Bill Crowder
What things instill a sense of awe and wonder in you? How will you make time to praise God for His marvelous works today?
Father, I can easily be sidetracked into thinking too much about creation without truly considering You—the One who made all of creation. Help me to marvel at You.

Hey there, radu!
Man! Has it ever. It got up to 103 today and was just miserable, even though the head index was not that high because our humidity was sitting under 20%. Tomorrow and Monday will be similar.
I’d LOVE to have to wear a jacket right now! LOL! Steve says it’s chilly in Boston, too. He’s doing his stream with a jacket on.

We’d have been more than happy to swap with you if we could have. LOL The weather killed us at the museum today. Hardly anyone was out at all. Very little traffic on the highway that runs past the museum and it’s usually very busy on Saturdays.
Yesterday, we had scattered thunderstorms but today was wet all day long. And chilly.
It sounds like your day was good, and got off to a good start with a decent night’s sleep. Plenty of time left to get outside with the loppers since the sun’s still high in the sky. Wear that bush out! LOL

Ugh! Triple digits in May. With temps like that now, it doesn’t look good for summer, does it?
We must have been in a weird pocket today. They say most of TN had highs in the 60s but it was only 55 here and 53 at the museum. It drizzled all day and was windy too. Just not a nice day.
We start warming up again tomorrow and will be in the low 90s later in the week.
I guess Steve’s getting a dose of this cold front too.

I’m sorry it was so dreary there. Did it affect the attendance at the museum. I sure hope not.
I simply DREAD actual summer.

It killed attendance at the museum today. Four tours early, then no one. I had two of them and Boss Man had the other two. I got some cleaning done and the rest of the time was spent in the office with the others, chatting.
Next weekend will be in the 80s with just a slight chance for rain so we should be busy. I figure we’ll be slammed Saturday because there will be only two of us. LOL All the others will be at Carthage for a Tennessee Maneuvers event. They had a similar event last fall, which you saw pix of on FB.
With the way your spring is going, it’s understandable that you dread summer. I would too!

Sorry that happened. Was it better yesterday? I’m sure once warm weather truly is there, you’ll have more folks than you can deal with. LOL!
I guess the sort of good news is that next week will be somewhat “cooler”. Anything under 95 at this point is a plus.

This became my theme song after my mother moved to a retirement home. It inspired me to visit her every day.
Baby Your Mother--Vaughn De Leath (1928)
Warning: this is probably the saddest song of all time--so sad that the singer seems to have trouble getting through it.

I think if it had been warmer, we’d have been busier. Usually if it rains, we’re busy because outside activities are pretty much out. No one wanted to get out today for any reason.
Yesterday was a little busier than Fridays typically are and a lot of fun.
I’m glad rain chances are so small for next weekend and hope the forecast doesn’t change. Weather like we had today would call off the event at Carthage and that would stink after all the effort that’s gone into planning it.
Hmmmm, it sounds like we might have similar temps next week. It’ll probably feel hotter here since it’s so humid. LOL
