I’m thinking you’re right. Communists never get “better” when they lose. History shows the opposite.

The Soviet copies of our Harpoon were built on Ukraine, which inherited and kept using that plant. Mainly selling for export as ex-Soviet Russia couldn’t afford many. After Russia took Crimea, etc in ‘14 unoccupied Ukraine became more focused on its defenses. Their “copies” were updated in ‘19 to longer range, larger warheads and western bought electronics albeit still subsonic. The combination of its sea skimming flight path and rough seas increasing surface radar noise made it harder to spot. In theory Moskva’s AA defenses should still have been able to shoot them down. Whether Ukes did something clever further or whether the Russians and their tech were less competent than expected remains to be sorted out and we should be very interested in the outcome. It’s not hard to conceive the same strategum used against US forces. Potentially with much more capable missiles.

The United States sailed its carriers in a constant loop off of Yankee Station off the North Vietnam coast for nearly 8 years.

Not a fan of Turkey, but they certainly have helped Ukraine with those drones.

You have no ethics, CINO.

So what? That was a different situation and you are just conflating two different wars and situations to distract from the point.

"Greatest loss to the Russian Navy in history? That is not correct. " Yes indeed...
The Russkies were wiped out by the Japs, who, at the time, had the planet's best-led & most ferocious Navy...

“It’s not about Soros or any of that crap. It is about stopping and ostracizing the asshole who thinks it is a old idea to bring large scale, national wars back to Europe.”

You’re a great deal smarter than the average Freeper.

Something fishy is going on. The Moskva should have been able to defend itself from a Ukrainian missile attack.

There is a link to a simulation somewhere around here that shows that a little rain and high seas would have interfered enough with the radar based interceptor missiles to enable the missiles to get through and score a hit. That may be what happened.

A better question might be, “Does Russia want to look like
North Korea at night?”

Ship should have been able to defend itself?

Ukrainian TB2 drones spotted Moskva about 60 miles from Odessa, Okraine. TB2 drones distracted Moskva they probably fired on the TB drones while low skimming just 16 feet above the water two Neptune R-360 anti-ship missile homed and stuck on Moskva's port-side, kaboom, they got it!  TB drone footage of burning Moskva.  https://twitter.com/i/status/1514481957962657794

Ukrainian TB Drone!

It was a missile cruiser! And I’ll bet it had escort ships with it?

If escort ship was with Moskva when hit by Ukrainian anti-ship missile, why did Moskva still sent S-O-S, nearest ships were Turkish and Lavtia's?  Out of 510 Moskva crew only 58 rescued.  Moskva's first captain was killed when ammunition magazine exploded, so who called the abandon ship at 2am EEST (UTC+3H) at pitch dark?  Moskva capsized and disappeared beneath the waves at 3am EEST.

Article is click bait. Tells us nothing.

Indian news didn't even mention Moskva hit by Ukrainian anti-ship missile.  Ukrainian TB2 drones must have been hunting the ship, spotted Moskva about 60 miles from Odessa, Okraine. TB2 drones distracted Moskva they probably fired on the TB drones  while low skimming 16 feet above the water two Neptune R-360 anti-ship missile homed and stuck on Moskva's port-side, kaboom, they got it, ha-ha-ha-hah!  TB drone footage of burning Moskva.  https://twitter.com/i/status/1514481957962657794

Ukrainian TB Drone!

Another Russian vessel towing Moskva to Sebastopol port when it capsized in the heavy seas at pitch dark 3am EEST (UTC+3h).

Maybe not true.

It appears the Russian navy is no better than the Russian army. Putin was a fool to invade. “Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war”
