The U.S. government may extend the federal mask mandate for public transportation, including planes, trains, buses, airports and transit hubs, Ashish Jha, the White House's new Covid czar, told NBC's "TODAY" show on Monday.

The mandate is set to expire next Monday, April 18.

I think you got it!!! My family flew to Idaho and back a couple of weeks ago to ski. Boy was I monumentally PO’d at Joe Depends when he extended the air travel mask mandate. I was miserable wearing that stupid thing. Ridiculous!!!!!!

Florida is a purple state. I saw tons of people voluntarily wearing masks when I was in South Florida in January. White boomers will put DeSantis over the line in November but it is far from solidly red. My mom lives in Palm Beach County and is wayyyy outnumbered by Dems.

Sane people stopped putting on masks long ago.
As for Florida, we control both US Senate seats, the governorship, etc etc. The Dems don't really control much of statewide offices.
And DeSantis will win again in November. And by a bigger margin.

Actually, the pilots union is suing and I believe a flight attendants group is suing to put a stop to this.

There are some flight nazis, but the majority of flight attendants and probably 100% of the pilots hate the mask idiocy.

But red Florida is not the entire state. I look at Florida elections and see red in the north and parts of the west coast. Rest of the state is blue including Orange and Osceola counties. Let’s not forget it went for Obama twice and almost elected Andrew G for Governor.

And Florida also provides in-state tuition to illegal aliens.
