The cool temperatures that had been helping to prolong the bloom might have taken things too far last night. It dipped into the low to mid-20s, which is nearly 20 degrees below normal for this time of year. And it's into the danger zone for the cherry blossoms.
The extent of the damage isn't fully clear yet, but it's looking a bit grim. As of this morning, they're still white/pink. But they're also quite shriveled and droopy and clearly not their usual selves. You might notice in the photos below that there are no close-ups of open flowers–that's because I couldn't find any fully open like usual.
Even with the sun up, it's still cold. Maybe the warming sun helps them bounce back. But it's probably more likely that over the next day or two they'll turn brown, suffering much the same fate as the magnolias a few weeks ago. And it's not just the cherry blossoms–some of the other spring flowers and flowering trees don't seem to have appreciated last night's freeze much either, including daffodils, flowering fruit trees, and any magnolias that survived the last freeze.
On the positive side, it's a sparkly morning out. Despite the chill, it's a very sunny morning with a slight (but cold) breeze and relatively few people around.

I was curious that I haven't read anything about the Washington Cherry blossoms which is often hyped as proof of man-made global warming. To no surprise, the reason we're not hearing about DC cherry blossoms is because they suffering from a pro-longed freeze along with daffodils, magnolias, and other flowering fruit trees.
Naturally the below-average temperature and freeze-damaged and dying blossoms doesn't make man-made global warming news.

My son photographed the Cherry Blossoms a few days ago. They looked gorgeous.

Here in northeast Georgia,
Daffodils have already bloomed and gone.
Cherry trees, pear trees, spirea, red buds, and forsythia
are in full bloom.
Typical DC weather, 70 degrees for the high in the same week as a 20 degree overnight low.
Nobody moves to DC for the great weather.
I was under the impression that Washington State cherry blossoms were all in the state legislature.:)
The ones around the Tidal Basin peaked around the end of last week. They were not so spectacular this year because the sky was overcast all week. Those in the suburbs are reaching their peaks now. It has been colder than usual. Also still a lot of Covidians.

It’s been really cold here in the suburbs of DC for the last few days - I went to the grocery store on Sunday, and my fingers turned numb and white.
I’d really enjoy some of that ‘global warming’ right now.
Sub freezing temps in southern PA the last two nights have ensured that the forsythia stay golden and the daffodils don’t go to seed.
Looks like we will have a prolonged colorful spring!
First blooms of any kind in Northeast New Jersey started showing up on trees only about 5 days ago. Cherry trees in the Newark area /Branch Brook park are starting to show some color. The well-below-freezing temps the past three nights will surely have taken their toll, though.
