Idaho Gov. Brad Little has vetoed legislation that would make it illegal for most businesses to require the coronavirus vaccine.
...
Last year, Montana became the first state in the nation to ban most businesses from requiring vaccines as a condition of employment. That law, like the one proposed in Idaho, cited “discrimination” as the reason.

Idaho's bill, dubbed the “Coronavirus Pause Act,” would have subjected public and private employers to a misdemeanor charge punishable by a $1,000 fine if they require vaccines as a condition of employment or service. It includes exemptions for situations involving federal law, existing employee-employer contracts, and businesses that receive Medicare and Medicaid funding.
...
Late last week the Idaho House and Senate both adjourned until Thursday, giving them time to wait out any vetoes from Little. At the time, Republican Senate President Pro-Tem Chuck Winder cited the Coronavirus Pause Act as one of the bills the lawmakers were watching.
“It’s difficult to override a veto,” Winder said late Friday night. “But we think that’s the only way we can do it, if we hang around for five days.”
The Coronavirus Pause Act passed both chambers with large margins, but not a veto-proof margin in the House. Proponents said it would prevent businesses from discriminating against those who don't want to or cannot be vaccinated.

The governor is part of the Mengele Caucus...
As an employee, this sucks.
Does the bill read as you state or is it “voiding the federal mandate” and leaving it up to the LOCAL business? That I would agree would be a good bill to support!
The only reason businesses were requiring the frankenshot was because the Executard branch of government required it.
“…proven in court that the shots are a health risk.”
Which will never happen.
Since when are businesses allowed to practice medicine without a license? They have no right to dictate medical decisions to their employees. This, especially, against their employees will. Nuremberg hung those who did this during WWII.
Conservatism is not a suicide pact.
Companies that are permitted to discriminate against the unvaxxed are way over the line of decent and reasonable treatment of their employees.
Private business has no right to force medical decisions on a person as a requirement of employment. What’s next? Mandatory shingles shot, pneumonia shot, etc.
Businesses are acting as agents of the government in this case.
A company should be able to make its own decisions, even stupid ones. If this law held that companies are not required to follow a federal mandate, then I would support it. If a company enforces a VAX mandate and has pension or other contractual obligations, then they should be forced to honor them even if they terminated the employee for the later VAX requirement.
whoops..
Time to be primaried
The first sign of Cali voter infestation is taking hold... governors inexplicably vetoing good bills or passing bad ones.
In fact, I would love to see all my competitors impose vaccine mandates … because it would make it easier for me to hire the exact type of employees that I want working for me.
Prove the shots aren't a health risk. That's how medicine is supposed to work.
There is no FDA approved vaccine in the US..

Seems simple enough to rational people. Sadly, rational thought, reason, and common sense are in short supply these days.
The business is no safer if the employee takes or doesn't take the shot.
So, on that criteria alone, your argument falls short, especially from a conservative viewpoint.
On top of that, there have been more adverse effects and deaths, than all of the vaccines administered in the last 20 years. Why then is it necessary to get a court to rule on it?
