“We’re billions short," he said. "Failure to provide this year a few extra billion dollars means you’re going to have famine, destabilization and mass migration.”
Beasley's intervention will sharpen minds as EU governments draw up plans to address the food crisis resulting from the war, with a proposal expected as early as Wednesday.
Russia and Ukraine are among the world’s biggest producers and exporters of grain. The disruption caused by the war has a direct impact on countries that rely on these supplies in the Middle East and Africa.
Half of Africa's wheat imports come from Ukraine and Russia, which is also a major fertilizer exporter. As for Ukraine, its exports have ground to a halt and its capacity to keep growing food this year is hanging by a thread. The crunch point will come in the fall, Beasley said, when the full impact of the war’s disruption is likely to be felt. “If you think we’ve got hell on earth now, you just get ready,” Beasley warned. "If we neglect northern Africa, northern Africa’s coming to Europe. If we neglect the Middle East, [the] Middle East is coming to Europe."
The economic conditions facing these parts of the world are now worse than they were in the run-up to the Arab Spring, he said. And it's not just the populations of Middle Eastern and North African countries who will feel the squeeze.
The WFP is already feeding millions of people further south in Sahel countries like Niger and Burkina Faso, where problems will worsen if global food prices stay sky high. “I’ve been warning our developed nations for several years now that the Sahel is going to collapse if we’re not careful,” he said.

Exactly.
I have no doubt.
One thing I have come to realize is that none of these things is taking the NWO globalists by surprise.
It all planned and implemented and reveals a depth of evil that is impossible to fathom.
Yeah. The spraying it with weed killer.
Communists love starving people. Ukraine is their excuse.

The money quote:
We believe we are at the onset of a global famine of historic proportions. In a staggering defiance of logic, many US politicians are still attacking the lifeblood of our own energy production infrastructure, looking to score political points against “the other team,” blaming price-taking producers of global commodities for gouging, threatening producers of energy with windfall profits taxes, resisting calls to remove bureaucratic hurdles to new production, and refusing to open an introductory physics textbook to help guide them through the suite of policy choices that require true leadership to get right. They remain stuck in an endless loop of platitudes, blamestorming, corruption, and ignorance.
Prepare accordingly.
I thank God every day for giving me the insight to make a lifestyle choice 10 years ago. Me and the wife retired from corporate America and decided to leave the very Big city and buy a place in the middle of Texas. We now raise our own Angus beef, have ponds with catfish and bass, have chickens that produce 4-5 dozen eggs a day, have a large garden every year where we grow and can our own vegetables for the entire year. Make our own bread and jellys. We also have the ability to defend our home and property if it comes to that. We are blessed.
Are they lying or are they bragging?
sounds like American, Canadian and Messican farmers are going to have a windfall year
Sounds like a great time to double down on ethanol in our gasoline.
Maybe we could start by getting rid of burning corn in cars!
That would leave a lot of food for the people!
2nd amendment ping. Invasion by forced famine is still an invasion.
Ukraine is their role model, historically speaking.
We can plant and harvest tons more food. The problem is the countries that need it want it for free. Also a slight problem with lack of fertilizer.
You are blessed.
U.S. farm groups urge sowing on protected land as war cuts off Ukraine supply
Farm groups are urging the U.S. Agriculture Department to allow farmers the ability to plant on acres set aside for conservation, to help fill the absence of Ukrainian corn, wheat and sunflower oil amid Russia’s invasion of the country.

We keep sending them food and they keep producing more excess babies.
Maybe the answer is to fund Planned Parenthood over there.
Bill Gates has been buying up massive parcels of farm land. I am sure he will donate anything grown on it and dare not “profiteer” like those evil corporations we keep hearing about.
So is that what this is all about? More "refugees"?
