Follow China has doubled down on a bizarre Russian conspiracy theory which experts believe could be part of a plot to justify the invasion of Ukraine.

This week, a Chinese official accused the US of running biolabs in the eastern European nation, claiming the situation was “dangerous” and that the “safety” of the alleged labs were at risk.

This is Russian inspired conspiracy bs. Its a US program to secure former Soviet Union labs and scientists called the Cooperative Threat Reduction Program, which began in 1991 to reduce the threat of the spread of this knowledge and materials. It would be asinine of the US to develop bio-warfare weapons abroad using foreigners, without full US control. Also, none of these labs in Ukraine are above bio-safety level 2. Bio-safety level 4 in necessary for a bio-weapons lab.(There are currently only four operational BSL-4 laboratory suites in the United States which deal with preparation for bio-terrorism). Russians over the years have been accusing, with no evidence, the US of having "bio-weapons" labs in the country of Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, etc.

I see this as gaslighting. I see it as willful misrepresentation of a situation in order to have a genuine situation dismissed as a mere conspiracy theory.

Putin's "justification" for invading Ukraine is simple: he wants to rebuild the Russian Empire by reabsorbing land which broke away when the USSR fell apart. He wants Ukraine because, in his view, Ukraine is historically part of Russia. This is simple stuff.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has been a pretty shady place and it is possible that there is information in Ukraine that could embarrass the US. Possibly evidence of 2020 election fraud. Possibly evidence of US bio-warfare research. If uncovered, this information could damage the US.

Putin is certainly not invading Ukraine because he is seeking such information. That's strictly a side issue which the US may be focusing on, but which Putin is not focusing on. He has more immediate concerns.

Under Secretary Victoria Nuland Admits U.S. Funded Biological Research Labs Exist in Ukraine

Earlier today, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland, was testifying before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC) on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is the legislative branch body who works with the executive branch State Dept to launder money through foreign nations. The Senate is the bank, the State Dept is the collection agency.

One of the members of the SFRC is Marco Rubio, also the vice-chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI). Keep this point at the front of your reference. Senator Rubio has a specific intent when he asks Ms Nuland publicly about biological weapons labs in Ukraine.

Don’t get so caught up with the nervous admission by Under Secretary Nuland, that you miss the purposeful intent of Rubio in getting out in front of a story that could be more troublesome for the Fourth Branch (intelligence apparatus). On Tuesday, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland told the Senate that the US is working with Ukraine to protect biological research labs as Russia continues its attacks on the Eastern European nation.

“Ukraine has biological research facilities, which in fact we are now quite concerned Russian troops, Russian forces may be seeking to gain control of, so we are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces should they approach,” Nuland told the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee in a hearing.

Significant difference between bio research and bio-weapons research. Wuhan virus is one the the worst "bio-weapons" around. Kill rate was around 3% and mostly old people. Inhaled anthrax has a kill rate >85%.
