PRAYER FOR GOD'S PEOPLE
"Fear the Lord, you holy ones, for nothing is lacking to those who fear the Lord. The mighty will grow poor and hungry; but those who seek the Lord will never go wanting." (Psalm 34).
Mighty God, Creator of the Cosmos, you have entrusted to us the care of this planet. Breathe your loving Spirit into the hearts and minds of us all. Instruct us in your ways. And most of all, enable us to establish justice and peace in our homes, our work sites, our nation, and this world. You alone are Lord. You alone are the Mighty One. You live and reign forever and ever. Amen. CDR Thomas P. Hall, CHC, USN

Howdy, luvie.
I hope you had a good day. Did it cool off a little as they said it would?
A nice day here. Windy but it felt good.

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Yes...I was not happy. And I wasn’t even sure if my call went thru. The automated voice kept saying I was running out of time to leave a message, which I had already done.

Hey there, radu!
Had a great day! It was a bit cooler but not by much. “Supposed” to be 73 tomorrow. About perfect. It was breezy here, too. That’s the part I could have done without. I imagine you could have too.
Did ya have a wonderful time at the party last night? Was the weather practically perfect?

“Not happy” is probably an understatement. LOL
The good thing is your call did go through and he got on the ball once he got your message. DO NOT LOSE HIS NUMBER!

Tongue-Tied in Prayer
We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. Romans 8:26
When my baby brother underwent surgery, I was concerned. My mother explained that “tongue-tie” (ankyloglossia) was a condition he was born with and that without help, his ability to eat and eventually to speak would be hindered. Today we use the term tongue-tied to describe being at a loss for words or too shy to speak.
Sometimes we can be tongue-tied in prayer, not knowing what to say. Our tongues tie up in spiritual clichés and repetitive phrases. We arrow our emotions heavenward, wondering if they will reach God’s ears. Our thoughts zigzag along an unfocused path.
Writing to first-century Roman believers in Christ, the apostle Paul addressed what to do when we struggle to know how to pray, inviting us to find help from the Holy Spirit. “The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans” (Romans 8:26). The concept of “help” here is to carry a heavy load. And “wordless groans” indicates an interceding presence as the Spirit carries our needs to God.
When we’re tongue-tied in prayer, God’s Spirit helps shape our confusion, pain, and distraction into the perfect prayer that moves from our hearts to God’s ears. He listens and answers, bringing the exact kind of comfort we may not have known we needed until we asked Him to pray for us. — Elisa Morgan
When have you not known what or how to pray? How did God help you through that situation?
Dear God, thank You for Your Spirit’s help when I don’t know how to pray.
Learn more about prayer.

Any cooling off is better than none. It didn’t get warmer and that counts for a lot. It’s been pretty hot there the past day or so. If you can get that 73 tomorrow, that’ll feel pretty good.
It sounds like we’ll be a touch warmer than you tomorrow. They said it would be around 70 today but it got up to 75. Still 70 out there now. I turned the A/C on for about an hour this afternoon because it was uncomfortable in here.
We did have a good time at the party last night. Good friends, a nice fire in the fire pit to sit around, weather very nice. But the wind slowly picked up as time went on and kept changing direction. We smelled like smoked meat when we got home. LOL

Yesterday’s 80 was indeed a tad warm for the first week of March. Today was better and tomorrow, even better. And still cool enough so I have an excuse to wear pants to church instead of a skirt or dress. LOL!
Glad you had fun. I hear ya about the “smoked meat” scent. Been there when on the shoot trips. But so much fun sitting around the fire, laughing and reminiscing. ❤️🔥

I hear ya on 80 being too warm for this time of year. It was that warm here, too, and we just had a hint of a breeze for relief.
It’s more uncomfortable today/tonight because the humidity is cranking up. The wind has helped make it feel better at least.
Yep, it IS a lot of fun sitting around the fire and yukking it up. But I swear there’s still smoke in my sinuses because I keep getting whiffs. LOL

I just shoveled 2 more inches...so much for 3-5 or whatever they said.
The drive in was almost white knuckle, and drivers everywhere. Lots of slippery corners and the corner I almost didn’t make was into the mall. Had a car been coming out....
But going home was REALLY white knuckle. Several left turn lanes were impassable because of accidents and I had to go around and find another way to get to the post office. And the post office is not on a main drag, so it was dicey. But...I finally made it home safe and sound. I am SOOO glad I am in until Thursday. 10” + shoveled so far and the deck is white again. My mailbox will have to wait until my plow guy comes. They have got to be really busy!!

Don’cha love it when they get the forecast wrong? *sigh* Y’all got a big dumping of snow today.
I imagine traffic was a bigger pain than normal due to the Iditarod starting today. Closed streets put more idiots on the streets you were on. Glad to hear you managed to stay out of harm’s way and got home safe and sound.
At least the snow’s slowed down a lot and that’ll give the plow guys a chance to catch up. The good thing is you don’t have to go anywhere for a while and they should get to your street before you need to leave.
Your plow guy is good about dealing with your driveway quickly so you should be able to get to your mailbox long before you can drive anywhere.

It’s a wonder your sinuses aren’t screaming at you. LOL! Thank goodness you can at least breathe fresh air for a little while longer, huh.
Guess I’d better head out. Don’t need any bonking in the morning. See ya tomorrow! Enjoy another pretty day!

Ooooooh, the sinuses have made me miserable all day and night. Hubby hasn’t been any happier. LOL
We do have another day or so that will be warm enough to open some windows. Monday will be warm for a while but once the front moves through, the temps will drop. Not frigid but it’ll be a bit cool for open windows for the rest of the week.
Don’t break your alarm clock in the morning. :-)

Did you have another fine weather day for Gizmo’s romp at the lake?
Are you expecting rough weather later today? We get the “fun and excitement” sometime Monday from the same system.

Well, we're in a level 1 or marginal risk for severe storms later today and tonight. We'll see what happens.
But we did have a great visit to Comanche lake yesterday. Now, we could use the rain. There were some fires yesterday and the Oklahoma Forrestry Service did issue a request for and E.A.S activation to the National Weather Service for a wildfire that was rapidly approaching the town of Mulhall North of Guthrie in Logan County.
So, hopefully we will get some rain later today, fingers crossed.
Pics from Comanche Lake yesterday.
We also had ribs for supper yesterday.
