A Russian military convoy that was outside of Ivankiv, Ukraine, on Sunday has since made it to the outskirts of Kyiv, satellite images show.
On Sunday, the convoy was roughly 40 miles northwest of the Ukrainian capital, according to images provided by Maxar Technologies.
Maxar said that roughly 17 miles of roadway is chocked full of the convoy, which consists of armored vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and other logistical vehicles.
The private US company said the convoy was located on the T-1011 highway at Antonov air base around 11:11 a.m local time.
Antonov is roughly 17 miles from the center of the Ukrainian capital.

This year I have not seen an official lineup released for the first time.
Last year 131 vehicles took part, down from over 200 the previous years
The flyover is expectedly cancelled. As no rehearsals had taken place, this was a guarantee.
Since the invasion the amount of vehicles in the annual parade has plummeted into a pitiful display:
2021: 197
2022: 131
2023: 51

According to Strelkov the persons behind Prigozhin is
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergey_Kiriyenko and the two brothers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yury_Kovalchuk and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Kovalchuk and they are promoting a political position for Progozhin - perhaps in a Russian dictatorship.
Kiriyenko is fighting https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergei_Shoigu and that is why Prigozhin is attacking him

Strelkov is probably right.

Europe Day held on 9 May every year celebrates peace and unity in Europe. The date marks the anniversary of the historic ‘Schuman declaration’ that set out his idea for a new form of political cooperation in Europe, which would make war between Europe's nations unthinkable. Schuman’s proposal is considered to be the beginning of what is now the European Union.

Ursula von der Leyen: So it is such a fitting place to celebrate the day of Europe. I welcome President Zelenskyy’s decision to make 9 May Europe Day also here in Ukraine.
This is always a favorite historical ‘what if’, so here’s my two cents worth.
What would have happened if the US had stayed a non-combatant in WW2?
My guess is that Russia would have survived. Barbarossa had stopped for the winter before the Pearl Harbor attack. So long as the Japanese played their hand with Russia the same way the 1942 campaign season in Europe would not be decisively different. Past that point events for Germany would improve compared to reality.
Russia without American trucks and Germany without a second front might lead to an eastern stalemate.
Without https://ru.usembassy.gov/world-war-ii-allies-u-s-lend-lease-to-the-soviet-union-1941-1945/, the Soviet Union would probably have collapsed against Germany.

Background on the secret Molotov-Ribbentrop alliance between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany, signed in 1939. Hitler invaded the Soviet Union just 1.5 months after his representatives attended Stalin’s May 1st military parade on the Red Square.
Excellent point. Bolsheviks and their useful idiot fellow travelers must always be reminded that WW2 started in 1939 with the Kremlin-Nazi alliance and not 1941. If given the chance they will always airbrush the nazi themes out of Russian history. Conservatives must not let them do that. We’re better than that.
Thanks for the list.

Strelkov:
Was a parade on Red Square necessary today? My answer: yes, it was needed - to show that we are not afraid and are true to tradition. But the composition of the parade (only a few types of heavy equipment) raises questions. It is clear that the Tamanskaya and Kantemirovskaya divisions (which traditionally paraded combat armored vehicles) are almost entirely at the front. But, what does it mean for only a company of wheeled armored personnel carriers based on KAMAZ to pass through the area (by the way, in all the main parameters, these armored personnel carriers are WORSE than the standard BTR-80 and BTR-90 - both in terms of cross-country ability, and in terms of maneuverability, and in terms of armament.
As for armor protection - I don't know. Is it easier to manufacture and cheaper)? Well, another column of S-300s and Yars of the Strategic Missile Forces. But other? Out of stock at all? Is everyone at the front?
Maybe, in this case, it was worth limiting ourselves only to parade crews on foot?
For that, the foot Cossacks pleased. With daggers ... it's a pity - the archers have not been revived yet. Their passage with reeds at the ready would have caused a sensation ... and still missing was Prigozhin with a sledgehammer and in a red executioner's cap. But I'm already snarky, of course ...
I rather enjoyed the Victory Parade with its only tank being a T-34. Darn shame the T-34 will probably be sent off to Ukraine as a practice target for a Javelin.
