William Barr is urging Republicans to put former President Donald Trump in the rearview mirror in 2024 in favor of the political party’s younger leaders, the former attorney general writes in a new book.
In his upcoming 600-page book, “One Damn Thing After Another,” Barr says he thinks Trump could’ve beaten Joe Biden in 2020 if he had “just exercised a modicum of self-restraint, moderating even a little of his pettiness,” according to the Wall Street Journal.
The conservative lawyer encouraged members of his party to consider “an impressive array of younger candidates” that he did not identify by name — who he believes shares Trump’s agenda but not his “erratic personal behavior,” the book says.
The former attorney general, who served from February 2019 to December 2020, wrote that the former president has “shown he has neither the temperament nor persuasive powers to provide the kind of positive leadership that is needed.”
Barr’s book hits shelves March 8 and comes as Trump hints at another presidential run in 2024.

Barr blows. Enough said.
.
Why would anyone be surprised?
Who protected Joe Biden Cash Machine?
Who had Hunter’s Laptop?
Barr declined to Appoint a Special Counsel to Investigate Hunter even after he knew his father would be President.
Comey, Sessions, Huber, Rosenstein, Wray, & Barr.
Gen Milley said it - he worked with the FBi and DoJ to monitor Trump (and protect the country).
.
Dad was a pervert like Epstein and gave him his first job. Then he was CIA. Then he backed the 94 Assault Rifle Ban. Then he wrote the illegal rules that let them murder Vicki Weaver. Close friend with Mueller.
Yep. I’ll admit, I was wrong about Barr.
About all he can claim is he was better than Sessions.
> “We’re still trusting the Barr, r-right?”
When you write a smirking question, you are mocking Donald Trump who said to trust Barr, but later reversed saying something happened to Barr, leaving it to those that listened to insinuate Barr was no longer trustworthy.
Trump, as an outsider, had to trust some DC lifers. He could only do so much with what he had, what he brought with him. But the AG position was subject to McConnell’s Senate and to Lindsay Dumbass Graham.
Now put yourself in Trump’s shoes.
As Trump. you review scores of AG candidates and settle on a few to interview. Barr looks like the best choice and for a time, Barr supported Trump.
In fact, in late 2019 and early 2020, Barr was traveling with Sebastian Gorka in Italy and Eastern Europe hunting down evidence of US actors and their corruption in Ukraine.
Barr was so dogged on that trip in his pursuit of evidence that Pelosi commented to the Press, “Well, it looks like he (Barr) has gone rogue.”
So Barr was in Trump’s corner and Trump had been commenting in his own way to “Trust Barr.”
But then Barr flipped during the sham impeachment and Trump said something happened to him (Barr), “he wasn’t the same any longer.”
So what you are doing is mocking Trump for trusting Barr. That’s what you’re doing.
There are dozens of actual real traitors to the United States and Barr, because he swore an oath of allegiance, is now added to the list.
If your aim is to divide the Trump base, good luck, because it won’t work.
Just another Deep State criminal who protected other criminals in DOJ and FBI.
Impressive?
This should lock Barr up as attorney general if Trump wins again. Morgan Ortagus called Trump disgusting and Trump endorsed her before she was even in the race.
He should talk about unfit, freaky traitorous scum.
Adam Kinzinger? or Liz Cheney?
the more they bitch, the more it proves we’re right...
Dan bongino loves Bill Barr.fwiw.
You’re right more than you’re wrong though.
My theory was that President Trump, as a civilian mogul, got used to the fact that he could say "You're Fired" whenever it suited him, so he selected based on what "advisors" told him, but as President, it wasn't quite that easy to remove traitors like Barr.
So this would be true of all Presidents?
