OTTAWA—The federal government says the RCMP is working with financial institutions to “unfreeze” bank accounts locked by emergency orders that targeted people who organized, participated in, or donated to the so-called Freedom Convoy blockades.
Isabelle Jacques, assistant deputy minister of finance, told a Commons standing committee Tuesday that the RCMP began “sharing information” — related to the end of “unlawful” blockades — with banks and financial institutions as of Monday that should lead to affected accounts being “unfrozen.”

So why the quick BACKTRACK? My guess is that the Canadian banks started seeing a run on them in the form of withdrawals due to the STUPID decision to freeze bank accounts of protesters and those who supported them. A dopey idea from the Son of Fidel and his coked up sidekick.

Maybe they saw people from the U.S. closing accounts.

Most likely the banks themselves quickly told Fidel’s Son and his cokehead sidekick that freezing bank accounts could have the effect of causing banks to collapse via bank runs. It was happening in the USA in 1933 due to bank runs.

Interesting that the RCMP is the one on top of this unfreezing. It was too embarrassing for Fidel’s Son and the Cokehead Sidekick to admit that they completely SCREWED UP since it would cause a banking disaster.
Always thought the USA was the safest....but wondering now about that.
I have accounts in 5 different entities...Money in a bank makes nothing....But I still park money in them..to pay bills, etc...

What choice did the populace have but to cause a real
headache for Ottawa?

As protests go, this was one of the most gentlemanly ones
to come down the pike ever.

think those people deserve the death penalty.

food to the truckers, as if that was some form of terrorism.
