Good point. All debt/bill payments cease. Major Canadian companies get screwed. They must have started screaming.

So thus the bank either simply siezes the payments from the frozen account, now or when they unfreeze it (plus interest/late fees), or they simply repo the house and keep the account. It's near impossible to get the bank to fight for you when the opponent is the (same) bank...
