The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) refused to provide evidence to support its claims that COVID-19 “misinformation” and “false or misleading narratives” inspired violent terrorism during 2021.
DHS issued a terrorism advisory bulletin Monday warning that of the dangers of online misinformation, which the agency said has been exploited by “threat actors” and to inspire acts of terrorism.
“The United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors,” DHS said in the bulletin. “These threat actors seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions to encourage unrest, which could potentially inspire acts of violence.”
The agency specified COVID-19 misinformation and false claims about election fraud in particular as contributing to violence.
“For example, there is widespread online proliferation of false or misleading narratives regarding unsubstantiated widespread election fraud and COVID-19. Grievances associated with these themes inspired violent extremist attacks during 2021,” the DHS bulletin said.
DHS did not respond to repeated requests from the Daily Caller News Foundation asking the agency to provide examples of violent terrorist attacks during 2021 that were inspired by false claims related to COVID-19. The agency also did not respond when asked for examples of violent terrorist attacks, other than the January 6 Capitol riot, inspired by election fraud claims.

“A small number of threat actors are attempting to use the evacuation and resettlement of Afghan nationals following the U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan last year as a means to exacerbate long-standing grievances and justify attacks against immigrants,” the agency said.
DHS did not respond to requests for comment Thursday and Friday to provide examples of such attacks."
Uh, Lenny would be proud because when it comes to false and misleading narratives, the false and misleading info is coming from the govt entities like 'cdc'(CONvid Disinformation Center), the 'nih'(Nationally Involved Harassment), tony faunocchio and the brandon misadministration. Truckers apparently equals insurrectionists. Kinda stoopid of the assclowns in charge in CanaDUH to threaten to cancel the CDL of participants eh? Who's gonna drive the trucks and deliver the supplies dumbasses. Keep pokin' Yogi......
DHS = Ministry of truth
Now the keepers of the state authorized opinion and sanctioned truths.
To disagree is to be labeled am enemy of the state.
Plain as day in our faces.
Two Words: FALSE FLAG
Civil / Peaceful Protests = Terrorism
Truckers / supporters honking horns = Terrorism
Reporting facts = Misinformation
Patrick J Moynihan is rolling over in his grave.
“Defining Deviancy Down” was a turning point.
Are they talking about the misinformation from Fauci, the CDC, and the NIH?
But where is the terrorism?
Oh, that's ridiculous! When I glanced at the headline, I thought the complaint was not providing any evidence of their claim that Russia will be invading Ukraine within the next few days and I thought, "They can't provide that". Then I read more carefully and see that it's about the imagined crime of "misinformation" causing "violent terrorism". Sigh.
Do they mean disinformation such as falsely claiming an opposing presidential candidate is colluding with an adversary to harm the country?
Using that information to overthrow a sitting president with impeachment, which is a fundamental threat to our democracy?
Do they really think we’ve not noticed a wide open southern border?
Notice they only speak in generalities and never get specific about what is “misinformation”.
Who determines what is misinformation?
Plus they are trying to say you cannot have an opinion and/or exercise your 1st Amendment Right.
That’s because ‘disinformation’ isn’t really a ‘word’. Look it up for definition and you see no dictionary sites return a ‘meaning’. It’s a smokescreen, nothing more, nothing to see here.
Must be covert terrorism? You’ll know it if you ever see it. Or it could be the brown shirt assclowns dressed up like pantyfuh?
Yeah, I sent both my non representative senatorettes a nasty gram yesterday in response to one of them touting how she helped introduce a bill to suspend the fed gas tax the rest of the year. May be hearing a knock on the gate soon. Fidiots!
They are losing and trying every excuse to justify thei authoritism.
Quite right! And, this published government declaration should not pass without further comments from American citizens.
From the government "bulletin":
(1) ...the proliferation of false or misleading narratives, which sow discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions.
That discord and undermining is, for the much greater part, the public response to political machinations by the political leaders and their active misuse of those otherwise efficiently structured government institutions.
(2)...continued calls for violence directed at U.S. ...[etc.]
See Antifi, BLM, etc. and political leaders such as VP Harris who are willing to pay to keep such actors on our streets."
(3) ...calls by foreign terrorist organizations for attacks on the United States based on recent events.
Which calls are not at all the acts of American citizens and should in any sense infringe on the Consitutional rights of those citizens except as provided by existing federal statutes.
IMO the head of DHS should provide to Congress full support for his assertions or face the severest possible response, up to and including firing.
“IMO the head of DHS should provide to Congress...” CONgress. Sadly, most of them are in on the fomenting of hate and discontent.
“Misinformation”, like “our democracy”, means you are hearing from an enemy.
