Police Beating of Unconscious Trump Supporter Was ‘Objectively Reasonable,’ Department Rules

The beating of an unconscious Trump supporter by a DC Metropolitan Police Department officer on January 6 was deemed to be “objectively reasonable” after an investigation by the department’s Internal Affairs Bureau, The Epoch Times has learned.

The Internal Affairs investigation was opened in September 2021 based on a complaint filed by a Texas man who assembled video evidence of the officer striking an unconscious Rosanne Boyland with a steel baton and a large wooden stick at the entrance to the West Terrace tunnel at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Boyland, 34, of Kennesaw, Ga., was pinned under a pile of protesters who fled the tunnel when police deployed a crowd-control gas. After several minutes of being crushed by the weight of other fallen protesters, Boyland lost consciousness and stopped breathing, witnesses have said.

Boyland traveled to Washington D.C. that day to attend the “Stop the Steal” rally and hear then-President Donald Trump speak at the Ellipse. She became trapped in a crowd that sought entry to the Capitol through the West Terrace tunnel.

As Boyland lay unconscious on the ground DC Metro Police Officer Lila Morris repeatedly struck her with a steel baton and what appeared to be a wooden walking stick, according to a video recording.

Oh ok. Now I understand. Why am I not surprised? The murderer of Ashley Babbitt was a black cop and the beater of a woman unconscious was a black cop. Both dead women were white. Well no wonder the cops got off scott free.

Beating someone who is unconscious is attempted murder.

Or is it not murder since she wasn’t able to gasp “I can’t breathe” before expiring?
Does the coroner’s report mention broken bones?

The only two murders that day at the Capitol were by the USCP and the DC police.

Black perp, white victim, no crime.

Simple as that.

Oops, my mistake: BOTH murders were carried out by members of the DC Metro Police. That is interesting.

Shock Troops Protection Squadron of the Secret Military Police, Capitol Hill Junta Division -

It is not a crime for Protection Squadron elite paramilitary to shoot to death or beat to death, if the protester was not breathing, or if the protestor was white, and female.

Just ask Ashli.

What part of Criminal Police State is hard to understand?

According to T Carlson’s monologue the other night two more trump supporters who reportedly died from ‘natural causes’ suffered massive head trauma from flash bang grenades. I guess at least one of the Hill cops holding the launcher always aspired to be a sniper.

Absolutely. It is Free Republic Dogma. The Police are on our side. The Police are never wrong. No matter what they do. Whether it is throw flash bang grenades in a crib with a sleeping infant. Dislocate the shoulder of an elderly lady with dementia who has no knowledge what she is doing by slamming her to the ground then making jokes about it. Or beating the hell out of a unconscious Trump supporter.

There's a competing "dogma" that I also see expressed by a lot of folks on Free Republic, that can be summarized by a popular Antifa acronym: A.C.A.B.

Although some folks seem to be strongly committed to those positions, I might suggest to others that it's often quite safe to ignore any opinion (including some I might have expressed myself ;>) that amounts to "All [fill-in-the-blank] are [fill-in-the-blank]!!!"

Are they saying that beating unconscious police officers is “objectively reasonable”? Is that where they want this to go?

As someone said a great many police in this nation do, but it is a mistake for that to be one’s default assumption. And that is especially so when referring to the Capitol Hill Police. They are a politicized body most definitely NOT on our side.
