13 US states side with Mexican government in lawsuit against gun manufacturers

More than a dozen US states have sided with the Mexican government in its lawsuit against US gun manufacturers where it accuses them of being liable for a rise in gun violence in the nation.

A coalition of 14 attorneys general, from 13 Democratic states and Washington DC, filed a brief with the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts this week arguing that gunmakers are not shielded from responsibility over where their firearms wind up.

Last August, the Mexican government sued some of America’s biggest gunmakers including Smith & Wesson and Glock claiming they were knowingly contributing to the illegal trafficking of firearms to drug cartels and other criminals in Mexico.

The gun manufacturers pushed back and sought to dismiss the case in November, arguing that they are protected from liability under the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA).

The Mexican government argued that the law does not apply as the crimes in question are being carried out in Mexico and not in the US.

The US state attorneys general sided with Mexico this week, arguing that the PLCAA does not shield gun manufacturers and dealers from state’s consumer laws governing the marketing and sale of firearms.

"--the usual suspects--"

I guess you have to say that, since even the article itself does not list the states. Typical MSN sh*t.

How many cars have killed people? Oh, wait, it’s drivers. It’s guns that kill people.

It’s never the fault of the scum that have them.

Ask yourself this: what was the last firearm you remember being imprisoned for its shooting crimes?

Can you name it? How it jumped up and ran over and shot someone?

Here's 4 of them:

In a brief filed in federal court in Massachusetts, the Democratic attorney general—which includes those from California, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and New York.

And we know that Washington D.C. is also part of the list.

So 5 are identified. 8 More to go:

My guesses: Oregon, Washington State, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Maine, Vermont, Pennsylvania

The Messy-cans have the nerve to sue an American anything after the misery they’ve caused in our country. Americans should file a class action lawsuit against Messy-co for the tons and tons of drugs, the thousands of child sex slaves, the billions of $$$ in tax dollars to enforce the borders, incarcerate Messy-can criminals.

The states that supported this are traitors to America!
