Chinese Olympics fans erupted on social media, furious that California-born skater Zhu Yi defected to China for the games but finished in a disastrous dead last place during her debut for Team China.
Yi, who gave up her U.S. citizenship to become a Chinese citizen so she could compete for the communist government’s genocide Olympics, finished with the lowest score for the entire event in Beijing on Saturday, the Daily Mail reported.
The 19-year-old scored a lowly 47.04 after she fell to the ice on her first combination triple flip-triple toe-loop jump and then crashed into the wall. Yi also muffed her triple loop minutes later

And then, with all that I read and see on the news, I am beginning to doubt it all. Until I hear Steve Bannon say it or Charlie Kirk..or Tucker Carlson.... I won’t believe
Giving up citizenship may mean something to China, but not usually to the US government. If she has a US birth certificate she can get a state ID and US passport. Most importantly, the IRS doesn’t care, except in unusual circumstances.

It’s really no different than some male mutant calling himself a woman and competing in a women’s sporting event.
It does not work that way, in order to become a citizen of another country you must renounce your US citizenship.
Another earlier article on this subject said she was REQUIRED to give up her U.S. citizenship to compete for China. I don’t know if that was something the Chinese government required, or was an Olympic rule.

… U.S. law does not mention dual nationality or require a person to choose one nationality or another. A U.S. citizen may naturalize in a foreign state without any risk to his or her U.S. citizenship…
That’s Breitbart wanting to make a big deal out of it. People pick and choose their nation for international competition all the time. If you’re dream is the Olympics and you can’t quality “from” one country but you’ve got a shot “from” another, go for the dream.
If she was Taiwanese it would have been a non-issue - there are many thousands of dual-national Taiwanese-Americans.
