Announcing that “enforcement is underway,” Ottawa police tweeted just before 2 p.m. Sunday that anyone who attempts to bring “material” supports, including gas, to demonstrators could be subject to arrest.

When asked earlier about the possibility of cutting off the supply of gas, diesel and propane to protestors, Ottawa Police Service said that they do not speak about operations, “for officer safety reasons.”

I’m sure the police with do the same at the next BLM riot.

Civil disobedience involves breaking the law by definition. When “peaceful protest” fails, civil disobedience is the only step left before people resort to violence.

So maybe consider that before you condemn people who break some traffic and noise ordinances and make life inconvenient for the Ottawans.

Maybe you should go back and read the post I was responding to and my response. I never said anything about civil disobedience.

They can’t let up. They know a trial and a swift judgement are next.

It doesn't matter what happens now, they're all going to jail.

You most certainly did, even if you didn’t use those words. You said:

“If they are blocking traffic, they are breaking the law. I assume, I don’t know anything about Canadian laws.”

Breaking the law is a necessary step in civil disobedience, which is what the truckers are doing. They are no longer engaged in “peaceful protest”, but civil disobedience. This is different than what BLM did because BLM engaged in violence and civil disobedience must still be nonviolent.

If you condemn any protest that breaks the law, even nonviolently, then you condemn civil disobedience of every type.

To me it is a “Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander,” thing. If they do/did nothing BLM or the Occupy Whatever groups, then the Truckers cannot be prosecuted either.

Those who gave material support to blm/antifa arsonists in the USA were not subject to arrest, in fact they were supported by our corrupt government.

Government makes laws to suit itself. Wussface trudeau is scared of the bad boys in trucks, and so his government is making up laws as it goes along to stop them.
