I have a problem understanding how there can be laws without applicable thresholds and/or trip wires that trigger requirements, compliance, penalties, etc. I realize numbers change over time but how can there be laws without things like stipulations and limits?
Lawyers seem to love words; numbers not so much.

They didn’t rule on the Constitution, they ruled on politics. If it’s legal or illegal- it’s across the board. For ALL citizens. Equal protection.
But- practically speaking- I’m happy for friends outside of healthcare. For me, and my coworkers inside healthcare- this may be a gamechanger. If you think there’s a shortage in healthcare workers NOW, stay tuned. It’s outrageous, and makes healthcare workers a separate CLASS of citizens.

agreed. this is stupid and shows that the Supreme Court is purely political and needs to be disbanded. Their job is to rule on constitutionality but they have ruled along party lines for decades now. Remove them all and start over.
It’s also not the first mandate. We have to have our flu shots annually to work in healthcare facilities. This has been the case for years so there is precedent. Every health care worker knew as soon as the vaccine came out it would be mandated

V.A. Hospitals and Clinics are Federally Funded.
Private Hospitals, most are Non-Profit Corps. but all are Private Businesses.
A Federally funded facility would a V.A. Facility, NOT ALL HOSPITALS.
