ASHINGTON (TND) โ The U.S. Supreme Court is set to begin issuing opinions Thursday morning.
Itโs expected that among them will be a ruling on the vaccine mandate for large employers and healthcare workers.
In a special session this past Friday to hear the case, Chief Justice John Roberts remarked that the federal government has never imposed a mandate like this on private companies.
The rest of the court's conservative majority also appeared to be leaning towards opposing it.
However, they seemed to be more understanding of the requirement for healthcare workers, saying that the government can impose conditions when there's government funding involved.
Court watchers now mostly expecting a split decision.
The opinions are expected to start coming down at 10 a.m. Thursday.
SCROTUS never ceases to disappoint. Perhaps if the gov't can FORCE YOU TO PURCHASE SOMETHING (Obamacare), they can also FORCE YOU TO SUBMIT TO AN INJECTION (Vaccine mandates).
If they rule against the mandates, there is going to be a renewed push to pack the Court by adding justices — reliable progressive justices.
Roberts is more concerned about the opinion of the D.C. cocktail crowd, than he is about the Constitution.

Yup. Big Gov/Pharma will look at this as a fumble and will take all the yardage they can in the meantime. For many, including children, it is Sudden Death Overtime.

Not to mention the executive branch will come up with more reasons for the mandates, so that most of us will be forced to get them.
On the other hand WHO just came out saying that boosters compromise people’s immune systems. So the Supreme Court would look pretty foolish to say mandating them is fine now.

No one - not even Trump - could predict the “severity” levels of either the various viruses (delta, omicron, etc) nor the “effectiveness” of any of the different vaccines (Phizer, Moderna, J&J, etc). EVERYONE knows that a typical vaccine development timeline has historically taken 5 to 10 years to go through several phases of testing to see if these vaccines are effective. They are simply trying to speed up the process due to the guesswork of coming up with some vaccine that “might” work on “everyone” with any of these various viruses - that have different “severity” levels.
After two years, they are STILL researching these. IT IS ALL GUESSWORK, USING SOME CHEMICAL LAB TO DO SOME RESEARCHING IN A CHEMICAL LAB. Hell, they’ve already come up with 3+ different vaccines - how many more will they end up? And they are now working to make it unlawful for me to refuse to be f###ing vaccinated? It’s stupid and insane.

I used to work for a company that would, without warning, lay people off.
Security would show up, tell the person “follow us”, do not remove anything from your desk or desktop, we will box it all up for you.
And you were out the door, period.
One person in particular I remember. 27 years of service, no warning, no indication. Heartbreaking.

SOP in the software industry. In my last job, Larry, our main security guy, would show up at your desk with a cardboard box and you were out the door in 5 minutes. We referred to the cardboard box as a retirement benefit (most software companies aren’t known for extensive benefits, so getting to keep the box was viewed as a plus).
Thatโs what Iโm betting on. Some kind of bastardized BS ruling.
I predicted the outcome of the vaccine before it was made. Coronaviruses and flu viruses mutate and circle the globe forever.
He could rule the same way again...the โMandateโ is an essential โTAXโ on every citizen....

I take this as a bad sign. They let the mandate go into effect, and they don’t seem in a hurry to stop it.
