5.28.2021

‘With multiple investigations already underway, I do not support the politically motivated January 6 Commission led by Sen. Schumer and Speaker Pelosi’

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement in opposition to the Senate commission investigating the January 6 terrorist attack on the Capitol:

"The January 6 terrorist attack on the Capitol was a dark moment in our nation's history, and I fully support the ongoing law enforcement investigations into anyone involved. Everyone who attacked the Capitol must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and brought to justice. I also support the Senate committees of jurisdiction who are exercising their proper oversight roles to provide an in-depth and complete account of the attack. With multiple investigations already underway, I do not support the politically motivated January 6 Commission led by Sen. Schumer and Speaker Pelosi."

The January 6th protest was not an “insurrection,” and the participants were not “terrorists.”

**************

They were guilty of trespassing and vandalism, crimes that Democrats usually have no problem with. In fact, as we have seen in the past, Democrats often condone occupations by demonstrators (e.g., Occupy Wall Street). Talk about hypocrisy.

Not a single person has been charged with insurrection or terrorism to my knowledge.

Hey Ted, as Dennis Prager said, you do NOT go into an insurrection dressed in silly hats and unarmed. There was no terrorist attack. What happened under Hollary in benghazi to the embassy was a terrorist attackwhat happened at the Capitol. Was mostly peaceful protests, with only a few who engaged in mild riot after being egged on by plants.

Sorry Ted, you ain’t squirming out of this one sir. And by the way, where were you for the past year concerning the political, prisoners being denied basic rights and denied bail because we e they refused to denounce Trump? Where were your statements then? Why weren’t you demanding investigations then?, and no word about Ashley? She and her family were the only ones terrorized thst day! Why aren’t you calling for antifa and blm to be labeled as domestic terrorists if you think that a mild riot by a fee people,in the Capitol were terrorists?

You want out of this one that you stepped in sir, then you work day and night to get the innocent political prisoners freed! But so far you have failed- for a year now, to work on their behalf!

My first reaction to hearing he said this was - this is his signal to the DS that he has agreed to a deal with them to become president.
It might sound crazy but I think he is their new Romney. He will get support in a primary to defeat Trump for the nomination.
He wants to be president and there is no way he gets there as long as Trump is around. His conservative support was already crumbling. I think the DS offered him a deal and his signal of acceptance was to call the Jan.6 prisoners terrorists.

He would be a better Senator if he gave up trying to violate the Constitution.
Cubans born in Canada are in no way natural born citizens of the USA and he knows it.
He is head and shoulders better than Cornyn, although that’s not saying much.

Cruz stepped on the political equivalent of a landmine.

I’ve always admired his intellect but he showed himself as a hack willing to set aside principles for some weird kind of political calculous.

His career is toast.

During the 2016 primaries, IIRC, Cruz sabotaged Ben Carson in one of the states’ elections or caucuses. (Iowa?) Can’t recall what exactly, but something like saying Carson had dropped out, when all Ben had done was take a VERY quick trip home and would return immediately.

Cruz is a self-serving snake.

“I’ve always admired his intellect “

It’s his famous intellect that put him where he is today. Everyone knows that someone that smart wouldn’t make such a dumb mistake in his wordsmithing.

My reaction is that he has evaluated the situation and concluded that the Deep State is going to win and he wants to be on the winning side.

This means there will be another lockdown before the November election, and tens of millions of untraceable mail-in ballots will flood the system.

Questioning them will be classified as a terrorist insurrection.

What about Rhodes, Epps, and Sullivan? They were there.

Rhodes and Epps are on video getting folks to go there and go inside. Were they not?

On a side note, can someone ask the Senator why the folks in the DC jail are being denied bond for misdemeanor crimes?

Why are they being denied bonds when a guy kills a Cleveland cop, gets chased by the cops and is offered a bond? ...... The alleged murder suspect in Bartek’s death – 18-year-old Tamara McLoyd – made her first court appearance Monday morning in which a Cleveland judge issued a $5 million bond for the charge of aggravated murder.

A child molester in his home state of Texas gets a $50,000 bond .... A homeless, convicted sexual predator, arrested in Austin, Texas, for felony sexual assault of a child had his bond set at $50,000 by a magistrate judge in late December, despite a previous judge having earlier recommended a $1,000,000 bond.

And of course, anyone can go to all of the cities with Soros DAs and it’s even worse...... Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot criticized Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx on Monday after her office declined to bring charges against suspects in a fatal West Side shootout where gunmen fired into a home late last week.

She cited that there was no cooperation between any of the people involved in the shootout. However, everyone involved in the shoot could have been and should have been charged with Murder, for the guy that was tossed from the car and died.

Something tells me the esteemed Senator will NEVER be asked any of those questions. Pompous, arrogant, hypocritical, scum of the earth. Pure and simple.

As Tucker Carlson pointed out, it was not a “mistake.”

Fixing the GOP is job one.

************

I don’t believe the GOP can be fixed. Its too corrupt, weak and unprincipled to ever be reformed. Its a fake party IMO.

Cruz does some odd things here and there but his voting record as compared to many, many other Senators speaks for itself. He is fine where he is.

[[Let’s not eat our own. ]]

He’s one of us? As the saying goes, with friends like him, who needs enemies?

Cruz didn’t just b,until out something stupid, he has been living the stupidity since the day of Jan 6, or soon after when he called the mostly peaceful protest a terrorist attack.

What Ted did was give the left all the ammo they need. What he did was confirm that the swamp is alive and well. What he did was side with the swamp, with the like of dick and Liz Cheney and ilk.

He chose the swamp over maga. He and his ilk felt that now is the time to strike In an effort to wrest control.of the Maga party away from them to ensure that Trump never gets back in office again. Cruz and the fe.low swamp members feel that now is the time to flex their muscles because they feel like Maga is on the ropes and vulnerable

Cruz may be ok on some issues, but he has sat nearly idle while innocent political prisoners have rotted away in solitary confinement, denied bail simp,y because they won’t renounce Trump

Who are the real terrorists here? It is all of those who have denied innocent civilians their rights,l denied them bail. And thrown them into solitary confinement, and apparently Ted supports that!

Ted revealed his true self, and it wsnt the first time either. He RECONFIRMED what his true self is

Yes, he fights for conservative issues, but he’s also swamp!
